A Prayer of Gratitude for His Mercy and Renewal
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" - Titus 3:5

Heavenly Father,
As I come before You today, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude for the immeasurable mercy You have shown me. Your Word in Titus 3:5 expresses a truth that resonates deeply within my heart: “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.”
Lord, I acknowledge that my efforts and good deeds, though they may reflect my desire to follow You, hold no weight in the grand scheme of salvation. I confess that I have often fallen short of Your glorious standards and have relied on my own righteousness. Yet, Your grace humbles me, reminding me that it is not my works, but Your mercy that has secured my salvation. Thank you, O God, for extending this beautiful gift of grace that I do not deserve.
I take this moment to reflect on the depths of that mercy. It is a reflection of Your unconditional love and compassion, the kind that sees beyond my faults and failures to the person You created me to be. I feel overwhelmed by the assurance that Your love is not contingent upon my deeds, but rather flows freely from Your heart. Your mercy is my sanctuary, providing refuge from the storms of my own shortcomings, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
In this prayer, Lord, I humbly ask for the washing of regeneration. I long for the cleansing that comes from You alone. Purify my heart and renew my spirit, that I may reflect Your light more brilliantly in a world that is often dark and in need of hope. Allow me to experience that inner transformation, bathing in Your grace, so that old patterns of sin and despair may be washed away. I surrender my life to You, asking for an infusion of Your divine power that will reshape me from the inside out.
Lord, I invite the renewing of the Holy Ghost to fill every crevice of my being. Let Your Spirit dwell within me, guiding my thoughts, actions, and intentions toward righteousness. May the fruits of the Spirit flourish in my life—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—so that I may be a vessel of Your love to others. Strengthen my resolve to live according to the Spirit, so that the desires of the flesh do not lead me astray from Your paths of righteousness.
Father, as I reflect on Your mercy, I am reminded of the power of testimony. Help me to share the story of Your saving grace with those around me. Give me the courage to tell of the freedom that is found in You, that they too may know that their works do not define them, but Your mercy can transform them. Let my life be a testament to the renewing power of Your Holy Spirit.
In moments of doubt and despair, remind me of this precious truth. In my weakness, help me to cling to Your promise that You are my Savior, not because of anything I could ever do, but solely by Your amazing grace. Let me bask in the warmth of Your love, recognizing that I am forgiven, restored, and renewed.
I thank You, Lord, for the immeasurable gift of salvation—a gift that is far greater than any earthly reward. I commit my life into Your hands, trusting in Your mercy, and celebrating the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Ghost. May Your will be done in my life today and always.
In the Name of Jesus, who gave it all for my sake, I pray,
Amen.
