A Prayer for Grace and Righteousness
"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." - Titus 2:11-14

Heavenly Father,
As I come before You today, I am deeply grateful for Your boundless love and the magnificent grace that has appeared to all humanity through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Your Word in Titus 2:11-14 reminds us of the grace of God that bringeth salvation—a grace that not only saves us from our sins but also teaches us how to live in a manner that glorifies You.
"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men." Oh Lord, I thank You for this incredible gift of grace that is available to all, irrespective of their past, their failures, or their regrets. It is this grace that makes me aware of my shortcomings and beckons me to rise and embrace the life You have intended for me. Help me to never take this divine gift for granted but to cherish it and hold it close to my heart.
Teach me, Lord, to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. It is so easy to get distracted and entangled in the ways of this world, to seek after fleeting pleasures that lead me further away from Your righteousness. Give me the strength to stand firm against temptations that try to pull me from Your path. Grant me a discerning spirit, Lord, that I may recognize when ungodly influences seek to infiltrate my heart and my mind.
As You teach me, Father, instill within me a desire to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world. I want to be a reflection of Your light. Help me to embody the characteristics of a truly transformed life—a life full of integrity, compassion, and purpose. May my actions speak louder than any words I can utter and may those around me see You in every aspect of my life. May I find joy in living out my faith and encourage others to do the same.
"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;" Oh Lord, I lay hold of this blessed hope! In a world filled with chaos and uncertainty, my heart longs for the glorious return of Christ. Help me to live each day in anticipation of Your return, to not become complacent or distracted by the worries of this world, but to focus with eager expectation on the fulfillment of Your promises. May this hope propel me to live boldly and courageously for You, shouting Your praises and sharing Your truth in every opportunity You provide.
"Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity," Father, I cannot fathom the depth of love that led You to sacrifice Your Son for my redemption. It is only through His shed blood that I am made clean, and for that, I am eternally grateful. I ask that You continuously remind me of this profound truth, enabling me to live in the light of Your sacrifice. Help me to reject sin and to turn away from all iniquity. May my life reflect the transformative power of Your love, as I seek to be more like Christ each day.
"And purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." Lord, I desire to be among that peculiar people, set apart for Your purposes. Stir within me a zeal for good works that glorify You and serve others. Let my life be a canvas of Your grace at work, painting a picture of service, kindness, and compassion. Cultivate in me a heart that seeks to bless others and draw them towards You.
Thank You, dear Lord, for Your grace, Your guidance, and Your relentless pursuit of my heart. May I live a life that is pleasing in Your sight, filled with righteous actions driven by sincere faith.
In the precious name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
