A Prayer for Protection and Salvation Among the Nations
"After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes." - Revelation 7:1-17

O Lord Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth, we come before You with humble hearts, recognizing Your omnipotence and grace as we search the depths of Revelation 7:1-17. As described in Your Holy Word, we see the significant role of the angels stationed at the four corners of the earth—holding back the winds of chaos and destruction. We thank You for Your divine protection that encircles us, for even in tumultuous times, You hold the elements of the world at bay. Lord, we plead for Your mercy to be upon our earth. Right now, we lift our voices high, asking You to continue restraining the forces of nature and strife that seek to destroy.
Father, as these four angels carry out their commands to protect the land and sea, we implore You to seal us, Your servants, with the mark of Your living God. Just as You have sealed 144,000 from the tribes of Israel, we ask You to keep us secure within Your covenant of faith and blessing. May we find our refuge in You, knowing that You are our fortress and stronghold.
We pray that amidst our daily trials, You would seal our hearts, our minds, and our spirits with Your love. Let us not be swayed nor tempted by worldly distractions or despair. Instead, guide us like the children of Israel to walk in Your ways, dedicated to the work You set before us. We acknowledge the diversity of Your creation, as every tribe and nation contributes to Your grand tapestry. Lord, remind us that we are all one in Christ, and may we extend grace to one another across the divisions that threaten to separate us.
As we reflect on the great multitude that stands before Your throne, we recognize the beauty in unity among diversity. We envision a day when all people, from every nation and tongue, gather clad in white robes. We shout with joy, echoing, "Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb!" Grant us a heart that resonates in worship and adoration, recognizing that it is only through You that we have hope and eternal life.
O Lord, prepare us for the great tribulations of life. Help us to exercise faith in trials and tribulations as we see represented in those who successfully washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb. Let our burdens and pains be left at Your feet, where we can receive the renewal and cleansing that comes from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
We pray for those still suffering in pain and loss, for whom You have given the promise that hunger and thirst will be no more. May they feel the gentle embrace of the Lamb that is in the midst of the throne. Lead them to living fountains where they can find solace and unending peace. Let Your presence be a balm over their wounds. We ask that You wipe away every tear from their eyes, and may they recognize Your faithfulness in the midst of their trials.
Help us to extend to others the grace and compassion that You have bestowed upon us. Let us be instruments of Your peace in society, driven by love and understanding. As we continue this journey on earth, remind us to serve You day and night in Your temple, holding fast to the hope of eternal glory where all sorrow shall cease.
In the name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
