But You, O God, are never without a witness, and I stand here today to echo the psalmist’s plea for righteousness to be restored!
O Lord, may Your righteous anger burn against those who seek to tarnish Your name! May every mocker come to recognize the futility of their claims and the emptiness of their rebellion. Guide them to see that true wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord. May they come to understand what they have mocked and taken lightly.
We live in a fallen world, marred by sin and discord. Injustice reigns, and Your virtues are trampled underfoot by pride and self-righteousness. Plead Your cause, O God, for those who have forgotten who they are without You. Let us reflect Your light in every interaction, showing the beauty of a life anchored in You.
As You plead Your cause, I ask that You also purify my heart. Cleanse me of any attitudes that may resemble the foolishness we see, and align my thoughts with Your will. Let my life be a testament to Your grace, a living stone in the edifice of Your glory.
I pray for those who oppose You. May their hearts be transformed in the light of Your love and mercy! May they reach a day of reckoning where they turn from the folly of their ways, recognizing the foolishness of scorning our Holy God.
