O Lord of Heaven and Earth,

I come before You today with a humble heart, acknowledging Your sovereignty and holiness. In the profound wisdom of Your Word, You have spoken through the beloved psalmist in Psalm 66:18, reminding us, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." These words pierce my soul as I contemplate the depths of their meaning and the gravity of my need for Your mercy and grace.

Father, I recognize that to regard iniquity in my heart is to allow sin to fester and take root in the very core of my being. It is to hold onto grudges, harboring feelings of resentment and bitterness, and nurturing thoughts that are contrary to Your perfect will. I confess, O Lord, that there have been times when I have knowingly permitted these iniquities to dwell within me.

In Your presence, I lay bare my heart. I ask for Your searching and discerning Spirit to penetrate my innermost being. Shine a light on the dark corners of my soul where iniquities may be hidden. Cleanse me of every thought, every intention, and every grudge that does not align with Your righteousness. I long to be free from the shackles of sin that cling tightly and weigh me down.

Lord, I admit that there are moments when I have prioritized my desires over Your commands; times when I have chosen to walk my own path instead of trusting in Your divine plan. Forgive me, God, for the pride and arrogance that sometimes lead me to think I know better than You. Help me to recognize that to hold onto my sin is to erect barriers between us. Because of my iniquities, I risk losing the sweet fellowship I have with You, the very connection that sustains my life and gives me breath.

As I stand before You in prayer, I understand that it is not enough to simply acknowledge my iniquities. I must be willing to let them go. I must surrender my will to You completely, allowing the transformative power of Your love to wash over me. Teach me, Lord, how to forgive as You have forgiven me. Help me to release any feelings of anger or resentment, and fill my heart with compassion and understanding.

May my heart be a dwelling place for Your Spirit, not a harbor for sin. Cleanse me, Lord, with hyssop, so I may be whiter than snow. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with Your free Spirit. I desire to approach Your throne of grace with confidence, knowing that my heart is pure and my hands are clean.

I pray for strength, Lord, to resist the temptations that seek to draw me back into the shadows of iniquity. Surround me with Your armor, that I may stand firm against the attacks of the enemy. Let me be reminded daily of the price that Jesus paid for my sins and the grace that offers me a new beginning.

In moments of doubt, turn my eyes back to You. In times of loneliness, remind me of Your abiding presence. In spite of my failings, let me never forget that Your love abounds. May I be quick to repent and humbly return to You, knowing that You are faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Father, let my prayers ascend to You as sweet incense, unhindered by sin or iniquity. May every word I utter be a reflection of my heart's desire to honor You. I lay my life before You, trusting that in submission, I will find true freedom. I give You all the glory, acknowledging that You alone are worthy of all praise.
