A Cry for Divine Assistance: A Prayer Based on Psalms 38:22
"Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation." - Psalms 38:22

Heavenly Father,
As I come before You today, I echo the words of the psalmist in Psalms 38:22, "Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation." Lord, I recognize that You are the source of my hope and salvation. In times of trouble, in moments of distress, I find myself in need of Your divine intervention. Therefore, I humbly seek Your presence, knowing that You are my refuge, my strength, and my ever-present help in times of trouble.
Lord, I acknowledge the heaviness that comes from the burdens I carry. The weight of sin, the challenges of life, and the difficulties in my relationships often leave me feeling weary and lost. My heart aches, and my spirit yearns for relief. Just as the psalmist cried out for Your swift assistance, I too cry out: make haste to help me, O Lord. I plead for Your immediate presence in my life, for Your comforting touch to soothe my weary soul, and for Your guidance to light my path.
Father, I recognize that I cannot carry these burdens alone. This world often overwhelms me with its trials and temptations. I find myself sinking into despair, struggling to maintain hope as the darkness creeps in. But I refuse to let hopelessness consume me for I know that You are faithful to Your promises. Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. In my despair, I remind myself: You are my salvation. Therefore, I trust in Your unfailing love and grace.
Lord, I invite You to empower me with the strength I need to face my battles. Strengthen me from within, for I have seen the mighty works of Your hands. You calmed the storm and healed the broken-hearted. You parted the Red Sea to deliver Your people, and You raised the dead to life. How much more can You do for me? I ask, Lord, that You would increase my faith, that I may see beyond my current struggles and fix my eyes on Your endless mercies. Let my faith be alive and actively seeking Your face, trusting that Your salvation will manifest in due time.
As I call upon Your name, I also extend my prayers for those who have come to mind—the friends and loved ones who may be in pain or seek Your assistance in their lives. Lord, as I pray for myself, I send prayers for their healing and strength. May Your hand of mercy reach out to them as well. May they experience Your grace, and may they also cry out to You in the time of need, knowing that You respond to the cries of Your children.
Lord, in my plea for help and salvation, I acknowledge that Your timing is perfect. Help me to be patient as I wait for You. Remind me that waiting on You is not a passive action but an active demonstration of my faith. Teach me to surrender my worry and anxiety to You, trusting that You are working all things together for my good and Your glory. Even in the silence, even in the waiting, I know that You are present, and I will continue to seek You.
In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
