A Prayer of Remembrance and Gratitude for God's Wondrous Works
"Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea." - Psalms 106:22

O Lord God Almighty,
In the stillness of this moment, I come before You with a heart filled with awe and reverence. I dwell upon the words of Psalm 106:22, "Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea." O God, I stand amazed, as I reflect upon the history of Your mighty hand at work throughout the ages.
You are the Creator of the universe, the One who spoke everything into existence. In the land of Ham, where nations rose and fell, You displayed astonishing wonders that revealed Your power and glory. I am reminded of the ways You intervened in human history, demonstrating Your sovereign will through signs and miracles.
Lord, I thank You for being a God who is intimately involved in our lives. You have performed marvelous wonders in my life, in the lives of those around me, and throughout the ages. You have healed the sick, calmed the storms, parted the seas, and are still performing miracles today. As I meditate on Your wondrous works, I cannot help but marvel at Your greatness.
I recall the Israelites, who found themselves trapped at the edge of the Red Sea, with the mighty army of Pharaoh pursuing them. O God, what a terrifying moment that must have been—fear and panic must have gripped their hearts as they faced what seemed like an insurmountable obstacle. Yet, in that moment of desperation, You intervened, and in a demonstration of Your power, You parted the waters. They walked through on dry ground, and You led them to safety, while their enemies were swallowed up by the returning waves.
Father, help me, too, to remember the times You have rescued me from my own peril. In moments of doubt, when my path seemed unclear, You provided a way. When I faced adversities that were beyond my capacity to handle, You showed me Your loving kindness and unfailing support. I am grateful for Your hand upon my life, for the countless wonders You have orchestrated just for me.
Lord, as I reflect on Your terrible acts by the Red Sea, I am reminded of Your seriousness about justice and righteousness. You fought for Your people, and You affirmed that no enemy can stand against You. Help me to trust in Your power and to stand firm in the face of trials. May I always remember that You are my protector, the God who fights my battles and ensures my victory.
O Lord, instill in me a spirit of gratitude for the wondrous works You perform daily, both great and small. Open my eyes to see the miracles around me—the beauty of creation, the warmth of a kind word, the strength found in community. May my life echo the wonders of Your faithfulness, so that those around me may also witness Your glory.
As I consider the land of Ham and the events at the Red Sea, I realize that Your story is a continuous narrative—one filled with grace, mercy, terror, and triumph. Help me to recognize that we live in such a time where Your hand is still at work, where You still perform signs and wonders among us. I pray that I may actively seek to be a vessel of Your love and goodness in this world.
God, I long for my life to reflect Your wondrous works and to point others to Your greatness. Help me to share the testimonies of Your faithfulness, to speak boldly of the miracles You have done, and to inspire others to trust in Your mighty hand.
In the name of Jesus Christ, my Savior, I pray. Amen.
