Most merciful Father in heaven, I come before Thee with reverence and awe, giving Thee praise for Thy holiness, and yet drawing near because of Thy tender compassion. I quiet my heart in Thy presence, and I acknowledge that every good and perfect gift cometh from Thee. Lord, I confess that I have often measured my life by my own understanding, and I have not always remembered Thy benefits. But today I lift my eyes to Thee, and I bless Thy name for Thy forgiving love.

Thy Word declares in Psalm 103:12, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” O Lord, let that truth sink deep into my soul until it silences every accusing voice, every lingering shame, and every fear that I must carry my past forever. Thou art not a God who forgiveth only in part; Thou art not a God who cleanseth on the surface while leaving the stain beneath. Thou speakest of a removal—complete, deliberate, and final. As far as the east is from the west: an immeasurable distance, beyond my ability to calculate, beyond my power to bridge. So great is Thy mercy toward them that fear Thee.

Father, I confess my transgressions unto Thee. Thou knowest them already—those done openly and those hidden within my thoughts; those I remember clearly and those I have tried to bury; those done by neglect as well as by intention. I confess the pride that rises in me, the impatience that wounds others, the selfishness that seeks my own way, and the unbelief that forgetteth Thy faithfulness. I confess the times I have spoken when I should have listened, the times I have remained silent when I should have defended what is right, and the times I have chosen convenience over obedience. Lord, I bring all of it to Thee without excuse, for I cannot cleanse myself.

Yet I thank Thee that Thy Word doth not say, “So far might he remove,” but “so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” I praise Thee for a forgiveness that is not merely promised for tomorrow but declared as accomplished. Teach me to live as one who is truly pardoned. Deliver me from the habit of rehearsing my failures as if my regret could pay a debt already answered by Thy mercy. When I am tempted to believe that I am forever defined by what I have done, remind me that Thou removest transgressions, and that what Thou removest Thou dost not hold against me as a weapon of condemnation.

Lord, since Thou hast removed my transgressions, remove also the bitterness and hardness that cling to my heart. Make me quick to forgive as I have been forgiven. Help me not to keep record of wrongs, nor to punish others with coldness when I myself have received Thy compassion. Let the reality of Psalm 103:12 shape my words, my tone, my thoughts, and my relationships. Give me a spirit that is gentle, patient, and humble. Where I have been wronged, grant me grace to release it to Thee. Where I have wronged others, grant me courage to make it right.

Father, I pray for those who feel imprisoned by guilt—those who cannot imagine that forgiveness could be so complete. Let Thy Word be a lamp to them in the darkness. Let the distance between east and west become, in their hearts, a holy assurance that Thou art able to cleanse the conscience and restore the broken. Teach them to come boldly, not because they are worthy, but because Thou art merciful.

And now, Lord, set my feet in a new path. Since my transgressions have been removed, let my life also be moved—away from sin and toward righteousness. Strengthen me to resist temptation. Give me wisdom to flee from that which draws me away from Thee. Place a watch over my eyes, my mouth, and my mind. Let my choices be guided by Thy truth and not by my feelings. Help me to walk in gratitude, to worship Thee with gladness, and to serve others with a clean heart.

I thank Thee, Father, for the peace that cometh from Thy mercy. I thank Thee that Thy forgiveness is not fragile, as though it could be undone by my weakness, but steadfast and sure. Let Psalm 103:12 remain in my memory: “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” I receive that Word with faith, I treasure it with gratitude, and I ask Thee to make it alive within me day by day.
