O Sovereign Lord, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, we come before You with hearts full of reverence and gratitude. We acknowledge Your greatness and Your sovereignty over all things. Each breath we take is a testament to Your grace, and every moment is an opportunity to seek Your will. Today, we want to focus our hearts and minds on the profound wisdom found in Proverbs 11:4, which declares, “Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.”

Father, we recognize that in the midst of trials and tribulations, material wealth and worldly possessions hold no value. On the day of Your judgment and the day of wrath that may come upon the earth, riches will not protect us; they will not save us from the consequences of sin. Lord, help us to understand this truth deeply. Forgive us for the times we have prioritized the accumulation of wealth over the pursuit of righteousness. Forgive us for placing our trust in the fleeting treasures of this world rather than in Your everlasting promises.

As we reflect on this verse, we ask You to instill within us a desire for righteousness. Create in us clean hearts and renew steadfast spirits within us. Help us to seek after holiness, to strive for integrity, and to cultivate character that reflects Your love and truth. Righteousness is not merely a set of actions but a state of being aligned with Your will. Teach us, Lord, what it means to be righteous in a world that often celebrates the opposite. Lead us to be instruments of Your peace, advocates for justice, and servants of those in need.
