Oh Lord, our God,

We come before you today with hearts full of reverence and awe, reflecting upon the profound truth expressed in Numbers 7:60, where we read that "on the ninth day Abidan the son of Gideoni, prince of the children of Benjamin, offered." As we meditate on this moment in scripture, we are reminded of the importance of leadership and the sacred act of offering. We come to you, Lord, seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength as leaders in our communities, families, and lives.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that just as Abidan stepped forward to offer his gift, we too are called to step into our roles and do our part in the kingdom. We ask for Your grace to be leaders with integrity and courage. Help us embrace the responsibilities that come with leadership, understanding the weight they carry. Let us be inspired by Abidan’s example, offering not just our possessions, but our hearts, minds, and spirits in service to others.

Lord, teach us to lead with humility, modeling the selfless sacrifice that you exemplified through our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. May we be leaders who serve rather than seek to be served, remembering that true leadership is found in acts of love and kindness. Let us not forget that every offering matters in the grand design of Your purpose, as Abidan’s offering was a part of a greater plan for the people of Israel.

As we look towards our own lives, help us to discern what you are calling us to offer. Reveal to us the gifts and talents that you have graciously bestowed upon us, and may we leverage them not for our glory, but for the advancement of your kingdom. Show us how to support and uplift those around us in our daily interactions. Strengthen our resolve to act in ways that exemplify the sacrifice that you so willingly made.

Father, we also lift up the children of Benjamin, remembering how Abidan led his tribe in faithfulness and obedience to Your commands. May we inspire the next generation to embrace their identity in You with the same fervor. Teach them to offer their talents and time in service to their communities, showing genuine love and commitment to one another. Inspire us all as leaders to create environments where the young can flourish and grow, just as the tribe of Benjamin was blessed under Abidan’s leadership.

Lord, we acknowledge that some days it feels challenging to offer, to lead, or to even step forward as Abidan did. On those days of doubt and weakness, remind us of Your unfailing strength. Help us to rely on You when we feel weary, and shine Your light through us in moments of darkness. Let us rest in the knowledge that every act of service and leadership reflects a piece of Your divine plan.

In this world filled with turmoil and division, may we seek to be peacemakers, just as the children of Israel did under their leaders. Help us put aside our differences and unite in the spirit of love and understanding. Teach us how to be advocates of Your peace and instruments of your goodwill in a fractured world, embodying the examples set forth by the great leaders in scripture.

Finally, Lord, we offer ourselves to You today. We surrender our plans, our desires, and our ambitions. May we be vessels for Your love, mercy, and grace, eager to offer our all, as Abidan did on that important day. Remind us, Lord, that every offering, big or small, counts, and that You bless even the simplest acts of obedience.

We thank You, gracious Father, for the gift of leadership, community, and the power of an offering. May we always seek to honor You in our actions and words. In Jesus' glorious name, we pray. Amen.
