O Lord Almighty, the Creator of all things, I come before You today with a heart full of gratitude and reverence. The verse reads, "And Nebo, and Baal-meon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded." Lord, help me to delve deeper into the significance of this scripture and to understand Your divine purpose behind each name that was changed.

Father, in this passage, You reveal a profound truth about transformation. The act of renaming signifies a shift, a new beginning, a release from the past. Just as the Israelites built new cities and gave them new names, I ask that You empower me to let go of any old identities that do not reflect Your calling in my life. Help me to recognize the importance of discarding labels that have been placed upon me by myself and others, which may have held me back from fulfilling my destiny in You.

Lord, I acknowledge the cities of my past – the places of fear, doubt, and shame that may have once defined my existence. Teach me, O God, how to build cities of faith, hope, and love upon the solid foundation of Your Word. May I no longer dwell in the valleys of despair but rise to new heights as I embrace the new names You have for me.

As You have renamed Baal-meon, Shibmah, and Nebo, I seek a fresh perspective on how You view me. For I am often my own harshest critic, allowing the failures and struggles to haunt me. Cleanse my heart, Lord, so that I may see myself through Your eyes – a beloved child, a warrior, an ambassador of Christ.
