A Prayer for Divine Encounter: Answering God's Call
"And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?" - Matthew 20:32

Heavenly Father,
In the quietness of this moment, I come before You with my heart open and my spirit yearning for Your presence. As I reflect upon the words of Matthew 20:32, where it is written, "And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?", I am overwhelmed by the depth of Your love and the intimacy of Your call. I thank You for the beautiful reminder that You are always present, always aware of our needs, and ever willing to draw near to us.
Lord, I recognize that in this passage, there were two blind men who cried out to Jesus, seeking healing and restoration. In their desperation, they were met with the compassionate gaze of our Savior—a glance that paused everything around Him. Teach me to cry out as these men did, to approach You with boldness and sincerity. May I never shy away from bringing my requests before You, for I know that no plea is too small or too great for Your ears.
As I ponder the question posed by Jesus, I ask myself what it is that I truly desire from You, Lord. What is it that I seek? I lay my life bare before You, relinquishing all pretenses and facade, for You see the deepest parts of my heart. Help me to articulate my needs, my dreams, and my pains—those spoken and unspoken. I long to experience the miracle of Your intervention in my life, to witness a transformation that only You can bring.
In moments of doubt and uncertainty, I may wrestle with the belief that I am unworthy of Your attention. Yet Your Word assures me that I am made in Your image, crafted intentionally for a purpose that transcends my understanding. You call me to You, just as You called the blind men. Grant me the faith to respond to that call. May I never doubt that Your heart is inclined towards me, and that Your arms are ever open, ready to embrace me as I answer Your inquiry.
Lord, I also want to lift up those around me—my family, friends, and even strangers who may not know how to respond to Your call. Help us as a community to seek You together. Let us be instruments of encouragement to one another, helping to express our collective needs and desires in faith. In a world that often feels dark and overwhelming, may we have the courage to cry out together, asking, "Lord, what would You have us do?" Let our testimony shine brightly, revealing how You respond in love and grace.
As I await Your answers, I am reminded not only to seek healing for my physical and emotional wounds, but also to ask for insight, wisdom, and purpose in my life. I pray for the clarity to understand what Your will is, and courage to walk in obedience as I receive Your answers.
In the stillness, I know that You are listening. I trust that You are moving even when I do not see it. May I be patient during the waiting, retaining hope, and acknowledging that Your timing is perfect. Help me to grow in my faith, to believe in the promises of Your Word, and to remember that every good and perfect gift comes from You.
Jesus, I surrender my heart to You. Call me, Lord, and grant me the grace to respond as Your faithful servant. May I carry the burdens of my brothers and sisters to You, just as the blind men were carried to Your feet. Thank You for being my healer, my guide, and my companion on this journey of faith.
In the name of Jesus, I pray,
Amen.
