Thou hast said, “prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts.” I tremble at the boldness of this invitation, yet I receive it with faith. I ask Thee to teach me to trust Thee in the place where trust is tested—in the area of money, provision, and daily needs. Help me to obey Thee first, even when I cannot trace every outcome. Help me to honor Thee before I calculate every number. Let my faith be practical, not merely spoken.
And as I walk in obedience, I look to Thy promise: “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing.” LORD, open the windows of heaven over my life, over my home, over my work, and over my mind. Pour out wisdom where I have lacked direction. Pour out peace where I have carried anxiety. Pour out strength where I have felt weak. Pour out favor where doors need to open. Pour out provision where needs are pressing. Pour out healing where pain has lingered. Pour out reconciliation where relationships are strained. Pour out holiness where I have been tempted. Pour out joy where discouragement has tried to settle in.
Yet, Father, keep me humble under Thy blessings. If Thou givest increase, guard my heart from pride. If Thou givest abundance, keep me from forgetting Thee. Let every blessing draw me nearer, not farther away. Let the overflow become a channel, not a trap; a stewardship, not an idol. Teach me to use what Thou pourest out to bless others, to relieve burdens, and to advance Thy kingdom with wisdom and compassion.
Thou hast promised a blessing “that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” LORD, enlarge my capacity—enlarge my faith to believe Thee, enlarge my character to carry Thy gifts, enlarge my hands to give, and enlarge my heart to love. Make my life a storehouse of good works, rich in mercy, and ready to share. And if the blessing overflows, let it touch my family, my community, and those Thou bringest across my path.
I surrender my finances, my plans, and my future into Thy hands, LORD of hosts. Establish me in faithful obedience, and make my life a living witness that Thy Word is true. I choose to honor Thee, and I trust Thee to provide in Thy perfect way and time. In all things, receive the glory that belongs to Thee alone. Amen.
