Heavenly Father,

I thank You, Father, for the example set before us by this unnamed woman, whose extravagant devotion to Jesus serves as a reminder of the authentic worship You desire. Lord, in a world where distractions and superficiality often overshadow our hearts, help me to cast aside any reluctance to fully express my love for You. Just as this woman poured out her precious ointment, may I pour out my very self—my thoughts, my desires, my life—at Your feet, realizing that You are worthy of all I have to offer.

I acknowledge that there have been times when I have fallen short, times when I have rushed into Your presence with a heart unprepared, neglecting the reverence and honor You deserve. Lord, allow the fragrance of my worship to ascend to You as a sweet aroma. May my actions be birthed from a heart grateful for Your mercy and grace, and so overflowing with love that I cannot help but share it with the world. Let my days be filled with gestures of love that reflect Your own, anointing those around me with kindness, compassion, and selflessness, just as You have anointed my life with the gift of salvation.

Father, there are those in my life who may not understand the depth of my devotion. Like the onlookers who were perplexed by the actions of the woman, they may question my fervor. Help me to stand firm in my conviction and to keep my eyes on You, refusing to be swayed by the opinions of others. When they see my actions, may they be drawn to the light of Christ within me, igniting their hearts with a desire to discover the source of my love.

As I draw near to You, O Lord, I ask for a fresh anointing of Your Holy Spirit. Fill me anew with passion for Your presence, enthusiasm for Your Word, and a longing to serve You wholeheartedly. Let my worship be genuine, unrestricted by fear or doubt, and may it reflect the transformative power of Your grace in my life.
