Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts full of gratitude and reverence, acknowledging Your immense love and guidance in our lives. We stand in awe of Your word, as proclaimed in Luke 22:12, where it is said, "And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready." In this moment, we are reminded of Your divine preparation and the significance of the spaces You create for us.

Lord, we thank You that You have set aside a place for us — a 'large upper room' that signifies abundance and readiness. We recognize that indeed, our lives are filled with the need for preparation. Just like the disciples who were asked to prepare for the Last Supper, we are often called to prepare our hearts, our minds, and our spirits for the work You have for us.

As we step into this time of prayer, we humbly ask for the grace to recognize the rooms You have prepared for us. Open our eyes, Lord, to see the opportunities that You set before us, even when they come in the form of challenges or uncertainties. Enlighten our hearts to understand that every situation is a chance to ready ourselves for Your service. We trust in Your promise that You go before us to prepare the way, and we seek to embrace every moment as a divine appointment.

Father, we ask for the wisdom to furnish our own upper rooms with the blessings You have provided. Fill our hearts with the fruits of the Spirit so that love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are evident in our preparations. As we wait on You, help us to cultivate an atmosphere that is conducive to Your presence. Teach us to arrange our priorities, to set aside distractions, and to be fully present in the work You have set before us.

Lord, grant us the humility and diligence required to make these preparations. We know that You invite us to be co-laborers with You, and we do not take this calling lightly. Help us to be diligent in our tasks, whether they are grand or simple, mundane or extraordinary. May our efforts reflect a heart that longs to do Your will, and may we always strive to make our upper rooms delightful and welcoming for Your Spirit.

We also intercede for others during this time. We ask that You show our family, friends, and even those we have yet to meet their own upper rooms, that they may prepare their hearts and lives to receive You. We pray for the leaders in our churches and communities, that they may find guidance and strength in preparing spaces that foster Your presence and love.

Father, as we prepare our upper rooms, remind us that it’s not just about physical space, but rather the spiritual readiness of our hearts. Help us to continually seek Your face, to lift our voices in worship, and to saturate our rooms with prayer. Encourage us to invite You into every aspect of our lives, that all we do may bear witness to Your great love and mercy.

May we never forget that preparation is not just an event, but a journey. Help us to enjoy the process, celebrating the small victories along the way, and recognizing the growth You are nurturing within us as we ready ourselves for what lies ahead.

In closing, we surrender our lives to You, entrusting our hopes and dreams to Your almighty hands. Thank You for the 'large upper room' You are preparing for us. May our preparations honor You and bring forth fruit in due season.
