A Prayer for Finding Favor in God’s Eyes
"And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God." - Luke 1:30

O Heavenly Father,
In the stillness of this moment, I come before You, acknowledging Your infinite wisdom and grace. I turn my heart towards Your Word, and I reflect upon the sacred message conveyed in Luke 1:30, where the angel spoke to Mary, saying, "Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God." Father, this message reverberates through my soul, reminding me of the beauty and depth of Your love and Your favor that You choose to bestow upon us.
Lord, I humbly ask You today to help me understand what it means to find favor in Your sight. Mary, a humble servant, was chosen for an extraordinary purpose, to bear Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. How marvelous it is that You, O Lord, saw her heart and deemed her worthy to fulfill such a divine plan! As I reflect on her life and the favor she received, I recognize that Your favor is a gift that comes not from our works but from the purity of our hearts and our willingness to surrender to Your will.
I pray, dear Lord, that You would cleanse my heart and sanctify my spirit, just as You did for Mary. Remove any fear or doubt that may linger within me. You have called us to live in courage and hope, for You have not given us a spirit of fear; instead, You have endowed us with power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Help me to embrace this truth, to cast aside the worries that keep me from moving forward in faith, and fill me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
O God, grant me the grace to seek after You with diligence, to align my desires with Your divine purpose. May I be faithful like Mary, who submitted herself entirely to Your calling, saying, "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word" (Luke 1:38). Let me rejoice in the life You have designed for me, even when the path is hazy or the challenges seem insurmountable.
In moments of uncertainty, help me to hear Your voice whispering assurances that I am favored. Remind me, Lord, of the many ways You have guided and blessed my life. Thank You for Your manifold blessings, for the grace that sustains me daily, and for the love that draws me closer to You. Help me to never take Your kindness for granted, but to treasure each day as an opportunity to honor You.
As I meditate upon Your favor, I pray that it would also flow through me to others. Help me to be an instrument of Your peace and a bearer of Your grace. Let my life reflect the love and mercy that You have shown me. Give me eyes to see those around me who may be lacking hope or in need of Your favor. Allow me to step out in faith to share Your Word, just as the angel brought good tidings to Mary.
Lord, instill in me a spirit of confidence and a heart that beats with gratitude. May I carry the message of Your favor into the world, shining Your light into the darkness that surrounds us. Help me to remember that even when trials come, Your favor rests upon those who seek You diligently.
Father, I commit all that I am into Your hands. Mold me to be more like Your precious servant Mary. Enable me to trust deeply in Your plans, knowing that Your favor leads to the unfolding of Your beautiful and perfect will in my life. May I walk boldly, unafraid of what lies ahead, confident that I am cherished and favored by You.
In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen.
