A Prayer of Offering and Dedication
"Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering;" - Leviticus 22:18

O Lord, our God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, we come before You with an attitude of reverence and gratitude, acknowledging our dependence on Your grace and mercy. As we reflect upon Your Holy Word, particularly the instruction found in Leviticus 22:18, where You command saying, "Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering," we are reminded of the sacredness of our offerings unto You, O Lord.
We thank You for the privilege of coming into Your presence, for it is only by Your grace and mercy that we can approach Your throne. As You instructed Aaron and his sons, we too recognize the importance of our commitments and the vows we make to You, the promises that we hold dear in our hearts. We pray that our offerings—whether they be our time, our talents, or our treasures—are made wholeheartedly and freely, in the spirit of true worship and devotion.
Lord, help us to remember that every oblation we bring forth is not simply a transaction but a testimony of our love for You. May we offer our best, as You deserve nothing less than our utmost and our all. Let our hearts be aligned with Your heart, desiring to bless You rather than seeking merely our own benefit. Teach us to give out of abundance of joy, driven by a desire to serve rather than out of obligation or fear.
We acknowledge, Father, that strangers in Israel also had the opportunity to come before You with offerings. This speaks of Your inclusive love, which extends beyond borders and backgrounds. We pray for an open heart toward those around us, that we may welcome all who seek You, regardless of their past, their past, or their status. Grant us the discernment to offer not just our goods but our compassion and fellowship with one another, just as You embrace us with unfailing love.
Lord, we ask for Your guidance in our decisions regarding the vows we make and the commitments we undertake. It is so easy to become distracted by the clamor of the world and lose sight of our promises to You and to those we love. May You instill in us a spirit of diligence, that we may honor all the vows we have made—whether they be personal, familial, or spiritual. Help us to hold fast to our commitments, and give us the strength to follow through even when it becomes challenging.
As we present our freewill offerings, remind us that our sacrifices must be genuine expressions of our faith. May the acts of generosity we engage in not be mere obligations, but joyful responses to all that You have freely given us. Help us to recognize that it is not just the financial or material offerings that You seek, but sacrifices of our hearts, our service, and our love.
O God, in a world that often pulls us in differing directions, we pray for unity and the spirit of oneness amongst Your people. May our offerings unite us in purpose and mission, drawing us closer to You and to one another. As we commit to supporting the work of Your kingdom, let it be a true reflection of our gratitude and devotion.
We place our offerings—both spiritual and material—before You, trusting that You will multiply them for Your glory. We pray this in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who has shown us the ultimate example of offering Himself, so we may live eternal lives enriched by His grace. Amen.
