Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with reverence and awe, recognizing Your sovereignty over all creation and the intricate design with which You have crafted the world. As we reflect upon Your word in Leviticus 11:10, which states, "And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you," we seek to understand not only the letter of this command but the heart behind it.

Lord, Your teachings remind us of the importance of purity and distinction in our lives, including in what we consume. You have set boundaries, not to restrict us but to protect us. Help us to grasp the significance of Your guidelines—not just for the ancient Israelites but also for us as modern-day believers. Father, we acknowledge that Your knowledge surpasses all understanding. You created the vast oceans and the flowing rivers, and You filled them with creatures that reflect Your marvelous handiwork.
