Heavenly Father,

We come before You in humility and reverence, acknowledging Your supreme authority and the intricate plans that You have for us, Your children. As we reflect upon the life and leadership of Abdon, the son of Hillel, who judged Israel in a time that required divine wisdom and justice, we seek inspiration from his example. We are reminded of Judges 12:13: "And after him Abdon the son of Hillel, a Pirathonite, judged Israel." This verse, though simple, carries profound implications for us today as we navigate our own lives, leadership roles, and communities.

Lord, we recognize that leadership is a divine calling. Just as Abdon stepped forward to guide Your people, we too are called to take up our roles with courage and conviction. Just as Abdon boldly navigated the challenges of his time, empower us to stand firm in our convictions and not to shy away from the difficult decisions that leadership often demands.
