Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, humbly acknowledging Your sovereign power and unfathomable wisdom. As we meditate on the life and legacy of Your servant Ibzan, as noted in Judges 12:10, "Then died Ibzan, and was buried at Beth-lehem," we seek to glean insights that will enrich our spiritual journeys and guide our leadership in our communities.

Lord, we recognize that each life on this earth is a gift from You, and with that gift comes a purpose. Ibzan, though brief in mention, lived a life that had impact. Father, we ask that You help us understand the significance of his legacy. May we learn from his administration and the way he led his people. Teach us the importance of humility and servitude in our roles as leaders, whether in our homes, workplaces, or communities. Help us to remember that true leadership lies in our ability to serve others, just as Jesus modeled for us.

As we reflect on Ibzan's life, we are reminded of the fleeting nature of existence. He lived and died, just as we all shall one day face that same reality. Let Ibzan's end be a true symbol for us. Lord, help us to live our lives in a way that honors You, knowing that our days are numbered. The way Ibzan was buried in Beth-lehem reminds us that our resting place will carry the mark of our deeds. May we strive to leave behind a legacy that glorifies You. Finally, Lord, we thank You for the life of Ibzan, which may seem obscure in the grand narrative of Scripture yet reminds us that every life tells a story. Help us to write our story according to Your will. As we ponder our own ends, let us take comfort in the hope of resurrection and the promise of life eternal with You. May we find strength in knowing that our lives have purpose, not just for today, but for all eternity.
