An Abundance of Gratitude for the Unwritten Wonders of Christ
"And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen." - John 21:25

Heavenly Father,
As I come before You today, my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude for all that You have provided through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I take a moment to pause and reflect upon the profound truth of John 21:25, which states, "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen."
Oh, Lord, how marvelous are Your works! How boundless is Your love! The magnitude of what You have accomplished through Christ is a mystery that goes beyond our comprehension, a wellspring from which blessings flow like rivers of life into our hearts and souls. Every miracle He performed, every life He touched, every teaching He imparted—all add to a divine narrative that continues through eternity even though they may not be chronicled in ink.
Father, I bow humbly, acknowledging the limitations of my understanding and the vastness of Your knowledge. You, who know the beginning from the end, have chosen to reveal only a glimpse of the wonders of Christ’s life. Why, dear Lord, have You chosen this way? Perhaps it is so that we can walk in faith and trust, knowing that there are infinite truths and experiences to discover in our relationship with You. Help me, Lord, to lean not on my own understanding but to embrace this mystery with a heart full of trust.
Thank You for the pivotal moments recorded in Scripture that remind us of His miracles of healing, feeding the thousands, calming the storms, and raising the dead. Each of these moments reveals His power and compassion, demonstrating that the same Jesus who walked on earth is with us still. But, God, what joy fills my heart in recognizing that there are countless other acts of love and mercy—some private, some public—that were not inscribed in the holy texts. I imagine the comfort He offered to the weary, the words of encouragement shared in secret, the hope He instilled in the despairing, and I am awestruck.
Gracious Lord, I pray that You instill in my heart a hunger for the fullness of Christ. As I meditate on the unfathomable depth of His ministry, I am reminded of the enormity of Your grace—the grace that invites me to partake in the ongoing story of His love, mercy, and redemption right here, right now in my life. Lord, help me to seek those unwritten wonders, to recognize how You are still moving and working in my life and the lives of those around me. Open the eyes of my heart that I may see Your fingerprints in all things.
May Your Spirit remind me that even though my circumstances may seem overwhelming, the abundance of Christ’s work far exceeds my needs and my understanding. Imbue me with faith, peace, and the assurance that You are doing more than I can see or hope for. Let me testify to the goodness of Jesus, sharing how He has impacted my life in ways that guarantee the existence of the unwritten books—the ones that may never make it to paper but are written in the tablets of my heart.
Father, as I reflect on the teachings of Jesus, I ask that You guide me in living out His love. May my life be a testament to those around me, a living book that reveals Your character—a character marked by love, justice, humility, and truth.
In every interaction, let me ponder how I can demonstrate the kindness of Christ in practical ways; if I were to chat with a stranger, may my words warm their heart as Jesus would have. Let me reach those in need, offering assistance, hope, and light, echoing the abundance that Christ embodied during His time on earth.
I give You thanks, Lord, for everything recorded and everything left unwritten. I treasure this beautiful mystery of faith that invites me to explore the depth of Your love and Your works daily in my life.
In the powerful name of Jesus, I pray,
Amen.
