O Sovereign Lord, our loving Father, we come before You today with humble hearts that seek to glorify Your holy name, just as Your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, uttered the profound words in John 12:28, "Father, glorify thy name." We stand in awe of the majesty of Your presence, recognizing that You alone are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise.

Heavenly Father, as we meditate on these words, we acknowledge the depth of their meaning. Jesus spoke these words at a pivotal moment in His ministry, fully aware of the impending sacrifice He was about to undertake for our sins. With courage and strength, He prayed for Your name to be glorified, demonstrating His deep commitment to Your will above all else. We, too, want to exemplify this spirit of selflessness and devotion in our own lives.

Lord, we pray for a renewed desire in our hearts to glorify You in all that we do. Help us to lay aside our own ambitions and desires, focusing instead on the purpose You have placed within our lives. Enable us to see opportunities to honor You as we interact with others, engaging in acts of kindness, compassion, and love, always mindful that these actions are ultimately for Your glory, not our own.

Father, just as Jesus was exalted through His obedient sacrifice, may we find joy in surrendering our lives to Your commands and plans. Draw us closer to You, dear Father, that we may hear Your voice as You assure us, "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again." Grant us faith to believe that Your glory is not a distant reality, but a present promise we can experience in our lives today.

We pray for those moments when we find it difficult to see Your hand at work—when trials and tribulations fill our paths, or when we are overwhelmed by the noise of the world around us. In those times, help us to remember that Your name is glorified in both the blessings and the struggles. Make us a vessel through which Your light can shine brightly, reflecting hope and peace to those who are lost in darkness.

Father, we also ask for Your forgiveness for the times we have sought our own glory, for the moments we have turned our focus inward instead of upward.
