Intercession for Belief in the Divine Works

"But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him." - John 10:38

"But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him." - John 10:{verse.verse_number}

O Sovereign Lord, Creator of Heaven and Earth, the One who holds the very fabric of existence together, we come before You today with hearts overflowing with gratitude and humility. As we gather in prayer, we recall the words of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, as recorded in the Gospel of John 10:38, where He proclaims, "But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him."

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the works that You have performed through Your Son, which testify to Your great power and mercy. It is in these miraculous acts, these divine interventions, that we see Your hand at work. We ask that our hearts be opened to see and acknowledge these wonders, so we may understand that they reveal Your essence, Your love, and Your existence among us.

We beseech You, Lord, to soften the hearts of those who doubt. There are many who walk this earth in skepticism, unable to see the truth of Your works. They may see the beauty of creation, yet not recognize the Creator. We pray for them, that they may encounter Your divine presence in tangible and undeniable ways. May their eyes be lifted to behold Your miraculous deeds around them—the beauty of the sunrise, the intricacies of nature, the love and kindness of a neighbor. Let these works whisper to their souls that there is a God who cares, who acts, and who loves deeply.

As we meditate upon Your Son’s words, we acknowledge the duality of believing in You, Father, and believing in Your Son. For He is the bridge that connects us to You, showing us the depth of Your love and grace. Help us, Lord, to embody this truth in our lives. May we not only be receivers of Your love but also vessels through which Your love flows freely to others. Empower us to live in such a way that our actions reflect Your goodness, driving others to see You through us.

We pray for the Church today, that we might collectively manifest Your works through our unity and service. May the fruits of the Spirit flourish in our communities, bringing forth joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Let our lives be filled with actions that glorify You and bear witness to Your reality. Just as Jesus urged the skeptics of His day to believe in His works, may we demonstrate Your grace and truth to a world in need of hope and healing.

Gracious God, we desire a deeper relationship with You. As we reflect on this profound truth that You are in the Son and the Son in You, we yearn to dwell in that same unity. Teach us how to abide in You and to live out our faith through love and good works. Inspire us to seek Your presence in our daily lives, so that as we encounter trials and tribulations, we may remember Your faithful promise that You are with us, guiding us through every storm.

We proclaim with the Apostle Paul that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. May Your truth resonate within us as we strive to understand Your divine plan and purpose for our lives. May our belief in You be firm, and may we share the hope that comes from a life surrendered to You.

Finally, Lord, we lift up our communities and the world at large to You. Heal the broken-hearted, and let Your light pierce through the shadows of doubt and despair. May Your works be evident in our lives and in our world, bringing glory to You, our Heavenly Father.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
