A Prayer for Divine Protection Against Deception
"He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise." - Job 5:12

O Sovereign Lord,
I come before You today with a heart full of reverence and supplication, seeking Your presence and guidance in a world often beset by cunning and deceit. As we meditate on Job 5:12, which declares, "He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise," we are reminded of Your divine authority over all creation.
Lord, I acknowledge that in this life, we face numerous challenges and adversities, often orchestrated by those who pride themselves on their craftiness and cunning schemes. Yet, as Your Word assures us, You are the ultimate judge and protector, capable of thwarting the plans of the wicked. I am grateful that we serve a God who watches over us, who sees through the facades and deceitful intentions of those who seek to do harm. Thank You for being our shield, our fortress, and our strong deliverer.
We recognize that the adversary walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Therefore, I earnestly ask for Your protection upon us and our loved ones. Guard our hearts and minds against the influence of those whose intentions are not pure, and give us wisdom to discern their schemes. Help us to recognize the signs of deceit and to stand firm in our faith, trusting in Your promises.
Heavenly Father, I pray that You would confuse the plans that are crafted in secret against us. Just as You have the power to upset the devices of the crafty, I ask that You will dismantle every plot and scheme that is designed to harm us. Turn their wicked designs against themselves, and let them stumble in their enterprises. May their efforts be in vain, and may their hands not succeed in carrying out their malicious deeds.
Lord, I ask that You equip us with the armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18, that we may stand against the wiles of the devil. Clothe us in truth, surround us with righteousness, and place upon us the helmet of salvation. Let Your Spirit guide our every action and communicate Your wisdom in our thoughts. Empower us to operate not in fear, but in courage, bolstered by the assurance that You are with us.
Moreover, I pray for those entangled in plots of deception, those who are deceivers and manipulators. I ask, O Lord, that You might open their eyes to the truth and transform their hearts. May they come to know Your grace and mercy, and turn from their ways to seek You instead. You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance, so I intercede for them now.
God, I also ask that You provide us with a community of believers who can uplift and support one another in truth. Let us lean on one another, sharing our burdens, and standing together in faith against any scheming foes that may arise. Bless our gatherings with Your presence and let our fellowship be marked by love and sincerity.
Finally, I give You all the glory and thanks in advance for the victories You will bring in our lives. In everything, may we remember that no scheme against us can prosper, for we belong to you, O Lord. May we trust in Your plan, resting in the knowledge that You are the one who ultimately decides the outcome of all our endeavors.
In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray,
Amen.
