Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in reverence and awe, acknowledging the depth of Your wisdom and understanding. As we reflect on the words of Job 28:18—"No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies"—we recognize the immeasurable value of wisdom that comes from You. Lord, we thank You for Your Word, which enlightens our hearts and guides our paths. It is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our way.

Father, in a world that often exalts material wealth and possessions, we ask for Your help in understanding the greater treasure that is wisdom. As Job spoke of the worthlessness of coral and pearls when compared to the price of wisdom, help us to see the truth in these words. Teach us to value wisdom above all earthly treasures and to seek after it diligently. May we learn to discern what truly matters in life—relationships, knowledge, and the understanding of Your will for our lives.

Build in us a heart that cherishes wisdom, that yearns for it as a deer pants for water. Forgive us for the moments when we have turned to our own understanding, seeking answers in worldly pursuits rather than seeking You first. Help us to seek counsel from Your Word and from those who are wise in faith. Surround us with mentors who will guide us in Your truth and walk alongside us in the pursuit of wisdom.

God, as we navigate the challenges of life, we ask for wisdom in our choices. Whether in our relationships, careers, or personal struggles, we plead with You to grant us discernment. May we make choices that align with Your will, bringing honor to Your name. May we be beacons of wisdom in a world filled with confusion and chaos, reflecting Your light in every situation we face.

We ask not just for ourselves but also for our loved ones, our communities, and our nations. In a world that often prioritizes wealth and success over wisdom, may a hunger for true wisdom erupt in our hearts. Restore families, heal nations, and guide leaders with the wisdom that exceeds earthly understanding.
