**Heavenly Father,**

We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude and reverence. As we reflect on Your holy word, particularly from Isaiah 21:14, which says, "The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled," we acknowledge the profound truths within this verse, truths that reveal Your heart for the needy and Your call for us to be instruments of Your mercy and provision in this world.

Lord, we thank You for the example set by the inhabitants of Tema, who responded with compassion and urgency to the needs of those who were in distress. They did not wait for a convenient time but actively sought to bring relief to the weary and the fleeing, acknowledging their thirst and hunger. Father, I pray that You would cultivate within us such a spirit of compassion. Help us to be sensitive to the needs of others, to have eyes that see the thirsty, the hungry, and the downtrodden among us. May we not ignore their plight but rather be moved to act, just as the people of Tema did.

As we look around our communities, we see countless individuals who are parched, not only physically but spiritually and emotionally as well. Many are fleeing from brokenness, despair, and hopelessness. Lord, we ask for Your guidance and strength to provide for their needs. How can we, as Your followers, reflect Your love in tangible ways? Teach us how to bring the living water that only You can provide to those who are thirsting for answers and meaning in their lives. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, enabling us to share the good news of Christ and demonstrate Your love through our actions.

Father, please forgive us for the times we have turned a blind eye to suffering. Help us to set aside our comforts and conveniences in order to serve those who are less fortunate. Create a desire within us to go out of our way to offer food and water—both literally and metaphorically—to those who are in need. Let us be providers of Your grace, offering bread for the soul and living water for the heart, just as the inhabitants of Tema extended their hand to help those who fled.

Lord, we also pray for those who are currently fleeing from situations that cause them pain—be it from violence, poverty, addiction, or despair. May they find refuge in Your presence, and may we be Your agents of peace and comfort in their lives. Surround them with a community that embodies the principles of compassion and generosity. May they not only receive the physical provisions they need but also the spiritual truth that can sustain them during their trials.

Help us to meet needs not just in our local contexts but also to have a global awareness. In a world riddled with conflict and crisis, let us remember those in distant lands who also cry out for help. Give us wisdom and discernment to know how best to support and uplift those who are suffering. Empower us, Lord, to advocate for justice and mercy where it is lacking.

We ask for Your blessing upon every act of kindness we extend. May our efforts be magnified by Your grace, and may Your name be glorified through our obedience to care for others. Let our lives reflect the heart of Christ, who came to serve rather than to be served. May we find joy in the act of giving and a deeper understanding of Your love through our service.
