O Sovereign Lord, the Almighty God, the Creator of heaven and earth, we come to You today with humility and reverence, acknowledging Your sovereignty over all nations and peoples. We gather in the stillness of this moment, seeking Your guidance and understanding in light of the profound words spoken through the prophet Isaiah. In Isaiah 10:6, You declare: "I will send him against a hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets."

Our hearts are heavy as we reflect on the implications of these divine declarations. We stand in awe of Your righteousness and Your commitment to justice, even when it leads to harsh realities. Lord, You are the ultimate judge, and Your judgments are true and just. In a world where hypocrisy permeates our communities and institutions, we ask for Your mercy and discernment.

Father, we have seen hypocrisy take root in our midst, sowing seeds of discord and deception. We have witnessed leaders who speak of peace but lead with oppression; those who promise prosperity while exploiting the vulnerable. In such times, we call upon You, O Lord, to raise up righteousness and to correct the paths that lead to destruction. God, as we ponder the weight of this scripture, we realize that You are not simply passive in the face of injustice. You are a God who takes action. You send leaders and nations as instruments of Your will, even when it means their mission is to carry out sentences of wrath upon those who have turned their backs on You.
