Father God, Creator of all that is, I come before You in reverence and awe, resting my heart upon the truth of Your Holy Word: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Lord, I praise You for being God before beginnings, God beyond time, God above all that is seen and unseen. You are not a part of creation; You are the One who speaks and creation answers. You are the One who was there when there was no “there,” and You are the One who remains when all else fades. I worship You as the eternal God, the Almighty, the One whose power is without limit and whose wisdom cannot be measured.

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” With this single sentence You declare Your authority, Your sovereignty, and Your rightful place over all things. You alone are worthy to be honored as Maker. You alone are worthy to be trusted as Lord. Forgive me, Father, for the times I have lived as though I were the author of my own life, as though my plans and my strength could substitute for Your counsel. Forgive me for the times I have looked at the “earth” of my daily burdens and forgotten the “heaven” of Your greatness. Restore in me the humility that recognizes: everything begins with You.

Lord, as You created the heaven, lift my eyes upward. Teach me to think higher, to desire what is holy, to remember that You reign even when the world feels unstable. When my mind becomes crowded with worry, remind me that the One who created the heaven is not overwhelmed by what happens on the earth. When I feel small, boxed in, or surrounded by confusion, let Your creative power speak peace to my heart. You are able to bring order where I see disorder. You are able to bring light where I feel darkness. You are able to bring life where I feel emptiness.

And as You created the earth, I bring to You the practical details of my life: my family, my responsibilities, my work, my finances, my health, my relationships, my decisions, and my future. You created the earth with intention and purpose; so I ask You to shape my days with the same divine purpose. Where my life feels formless, Lord, form it. Where my habits are broken, mend them. Where my priorities are misplaced, realign them. Where my spirit is weary, renew strength within me. Where I have carried grief, disappointment, or fear, meet me with the steadiness of Your presence.

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Father, let this truth become the foundation under my feet. When I am tempted to believe that chaos has the final word, remind me that You speak first. When I am tempted to believe that my past defines me, remind me that You are the God of beginnings. When I am tempted to believe I cannot change, remind me that the Creator can create anew. I ask You to create in me a clean heart, to renew a right spirit within me, and to teach me to walk in obedience and faith.

Help me to honor You as Creator not only with my words but with my life. Let my choices reflect Your holiness. Let my speech reflect Your truth. Let my work reflect Your excellence. Let my love reflect Your mercy. Teach me to treat this world, which You made, with gratitude and care—never worshiping creation, but always worshiping You who created it.

Father, I place every “beginning” in my hands into Your hands: new responsibilities, new seasons, new opportunities, and even the new starts I desperately need. Speak over my life what You spoke over the world You made—purpose, direction, and peace. May I live each day remembering that You are God, and I am Yours. And when I do not know what tomorrow holds, keep me steady in this unshakable truth: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

I worship You, Lord, as the God of the beginning, the God of now, and the God of forever. Receive my life as an offering, and lead me in the way everlasting. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
