Heavenly Father,

As we gather in humble reverence before You, we stand in awe of Your greatness and the depth of Your mercy. You who governs the heavens and the earth, we find ourselves lost in the profound truth of Your Word. Lord, we come before You with the echo of Ezra 10:5 in our hearts, where the faithful servant of God rose with unwavering conviction to lead his people back to commitment. "Then arose Ezra, and made the chief priests, the Levites, and all Israel, to swear that they should do according to this word. And they sware."

Father, we recognize the significance of this solemn moment in the history of Your people. Ezra, a scribe skilled in Your law, led with such courage and resolve. We see in him a reflection of Your unwavering love—a love that desires a relationship marked by faithfulness and righteousness. In this prayer, we take a moment to pose our own commitment before You—a commitment not only to live according to Your Word but to lead others into this sacred promise.

We pray for Your Spirit to move among us as Ezra called together the chief priests, the Levites, and all those in Israel to affirm their oath to obey Your commandments. Lord, we ask that You raise up leaders among us who are like Ezra, filled with wisdom and grace. May these leaders inspire us, teaching us to value Your Word as our guiding light. Just as Ezra made an appeal to the hearts of his people, we request the same fervor to resonate among us—convicting us to recognize the importance of our agreements with You.

Empower us, O God, to awaken our spirits. Infuse our hearts with passion for devotion and allegiance to Your decrees. Let the urgency that Ezra felt resonate in us.
