Heavenly Father,

Today, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and reverence, acknowledging Your sovereignty and unfailing love. As I meditate on the words of Ezra 10:37, which mentions the names Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Jaasau, I am reminded of the rich tapestry of Your people, bound together through lineage, struggles, and the resounding call to return to You. Lord, I lift my voice in prayer not just for these individuals but for all those whose names have been lost to time yet are etched in Your divine plan.

O God, You are the God of restoration. Just as You guided the Israelites back to their homeland, I ask that You guide me and those around me back to a place of intimate communion with You. Forgive us, Lord, for the times we have strayed. We have let the distractions of this world pull us away from the purity of our commitment to You. Like the descendants of Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Jaasau, we find ourselves needing to seek Your face and return to the covenant we have with You.

Lord, I pray for a renewed spirit among Your people. Let the stories of Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Jaasau remind us of the importance of our own identities as Your children. May we embrace the calling You have placed on our lives, just as they did, representing our families and communities in the highest obedience and service to You. May we walk in faithfulness, understanding our roles not just as individuals but as integral parts of Your glorious kingdom.

Father, I ask for the strength to turn from our errors and boldly proclaim our allegiance to You. Help us reflect on our choices, our relationships, and our commitments. Just as Ezra called the people to confession and repentance, let us be open to the workings of Your Holy Spirit in our lives. Let Your love bind us together so that we can stand strong against the adversarial forces that threaten to pull us apart. God, I also implore You to instill in us a willingness to serve as Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Jaasau did.
