Heavenly Father, our Great Creator and Sustainer, we come before You with reverence and awe, acknowledging the depths of Your wisdom and the breadth of Your love for Your people. As we turn our hearts toward the words spoken unto Ezekiel, we pray for an understanding of the call You have placed upon each of our lives, symbolized in the verse from Ezekiel 3:1, where You commanded, "Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel."

Lord, just as You instructed Ezekiel to consume the roll, we seek to be filled with Your word. Help us to find that which nourishes our spirit and strengthens our resolve—Your Holy Scriptures that give us guidance, encouragement, and the power to persevere in times of trial. We confess that there are moments when we approach Your word with reluctance or distraction. We ask for forgiveness for those times and seek the desire to eagerly consume Your teachings with fervor as Ezekiel did. May we approach each scripture as a feast, hungry for Your truth and desiring a deeper relationship with You.

As we partake of the roll, may it fill us with understanding and clarity. Let us digest the lessons, stories, and parables, turning them over in our hearts and minds until they become an integral part of our being. Here, we lay down our fears and hesitations, opening ourselves to the uncomfortable yet divine call that may come next: to go and speak to others. Lord, embolden our voices to declare Your truth as Ezekiel was called to speak to the house of Israel, even when the message may be hard, unwelcome, or misunderstood.

Father, please grant us the courage to confront the injustices, the lies, and the darkness that surround us daily. Like Ezekiel, we go forward with a divine mandate. Help us to remember that we are not speaking our own words, but Your words—filled with divine authority and grace. Let fear not hinder our mission; rather, let it propel us into the truth of Your will and the helplessness of those who await Your message. May we be instruments of Your peace and heralds of Your redemption.

We acknowledge that speaking Your word to a world that often turns away can be daunting. Empower us through the Holy Spirit to speak with clarity and conviction. Let our hearts break for what breaks Yours, and fill us with compassion that echoes through our words and actions. May our hearts resonate with the cries of those who hunger for justice, love, and hope. As we proclaim Your truth, may we mirror the love and grace of Christ, embodying His spirit in everything we say and do.

Lord, we pray also for the hearts of those we are called to speak to. Just as You prepared the ears of Israel to hear Ezekiel's voice, so too do we ask for softened hearts and open minds in those we encounter. Grant them discernment to recognize Your truth, regardless of the messenger. Our responsibility is to sow the seeds; it is Your harvest. We trust in Your timing and Your purposes.

Lastly, give us a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and a commitment to truth, as we navigate our paths. Let our lives be living testimonies, demonstrating what it means to eat the roll that You have provided and embody its message. May we carry the essence of Your word in our hearts, from which flows rivers of living water that quenches the thirst of the weary.
