O, Sovereign Lord, we humbly come before You today, seeking Your divine presence and guidance in our lives and the world around us. As we reflect on the powerful words found in Ezekiel 38:19, where You declare, "For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;" we are reminded of Your sovereignty over creation and the passionate love You have for Your people.

Lord, we understand that Your jealousy is not a fleeting emotion but a holy devotion to that which is right and true. You desire fidelity from Your people, and Your heart aches when we turn away from Your ways. In this moment, we confess our failures to remain steadfast in faith and to uphold Your commandments in our lives. Forgive us for our wanderings and our tendency to seek after worldly things that ultimately lead us away from You.

As we ponder the meaning of the "great shaking" that You speak about in this verse, we recognize that it is a sign of Your righteous anger towards sin and disobedience. We observe the tumult and turmoil in our world today and acknowledge that these are, indeed, manifestations of Your wrath against unrighteousness. Just as You shake the land of Israel, we ask that You would also shake our hearts, our families, our communities, and our nations, awakening us to the urgency of returning to You with genuine repentance.

Heavenly Father, in this time of shaking, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the restoration of Your people. We understand that Israel holds a significant place in Your divine plan, and we plead for mercy upon the land and its inhabitants. May Your great power and holiness envelop the land, turning hearts back to You. In the face of adversity, let Your presence be a beacon of hope and a call to righteousness. You have said in Your word that You will never forsake Your people, and we stand firm on that promise as we intercede for them.

We are also aware, Lord, of the consequences of our actions as Your creation. We have witnessed how our choices create impacts that ripple throughout our world. As You shake the foundations of our faith and bring to light the things hidden in darkness, let there be a spirit of revival that sweeps through our communities. Raise up voices of truth and advocates of justice to speak Your words boldly, sharing the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Father, we desire to be instrument of Your peace, even in turbulent times. Empower us to stand firm in our faith amid the upheaval, to serve as a reflection of Your grace and mercy, and to extend love and compassion to those around us. Let us not fear the shaking but embrace it as a necessary work of Your hand to bring about transformation and renewal.

In the fire of Your wrath, we see the possibility of purification. As You burn away the impurities, may the remnant emerge stronger and more devoted to You. Let this be a time of awakening, a time when Your glory is revealed in new ways, as You gather Your people, not just in Israel but across the earth, to declare the majesty of Your name.

Lord, we thank You that even in the shaking, there is hope. For You, our God, are the same yesterday, today, and forever. You will restore those who humble themselves before You and seek Your face.
