Awakening the Great Army: A Prayer of Prophetic Restoration

"So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army." - Ezekiel 37:10

"So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army." - Ezekiel 37:{verse.verse_number}

Oh Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, I bow my heart before You today in reverence and awe. You are the God who breathes life into the lifeless and brings hope to the hopeless. Your Word, as recorded in Ezekiel 37:10, reminds us of Your incomprehensible power and Your desire to restore what has been broken. "So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army."

Father, in this moment, I come to You seeking a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit over my life and the lives of those around me. I resonate with the valley of dry bones, where hope seems lost, and dreams have withered. I lift up to You every area of my life that feels lifeless—relationships, aspirations, and faith that has grown dim. Just as You commanded prophet Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones, I ask for the boldness to speak life into my circumstances.

I proclaim, in accordance with Your powerful commandment, that Your breath shall enter into the lifeless parts of my being. I declare that Your divine breath—the Holy Spirit—will revive my spirit, enliven my pursuits, and breathe freshness into my heart. May every withered desire receive Your resurrection life. I pray, Lord, that where there is doubt, there would rise faith. Where there is despair, may hope abound.

As You called the bones forth to stand up, I pray for a movement of awakening among Your people—a gathering of hearts stirred by Your Spirit across the nations. Let us rise, Lord, as a unified army of believers, strong in faith and committed to Your mission. You have called us out of darkness into Your marvelous light; now let us stand tall and firm in the face of challenges, ready to fight the spiritual battles that lay ahead.

I intercede for my brothers and sisters who are facing spiritual, emotional, and physical exhaustion. May Your breath of renewal cover them like a mighty wind, lifting them to their feet, restored, renewed, and empowered. Like Ezekiel’s army, let us become an exceeding great army, multiplying in strength and purpose, ready to declare Your truths and share Your love in a world that desperately needs it.

Lord, as You commanded Ezekiel, I ask that You would help us to prophesy boldly into our lives and the lives of others. Let us be instruments of Your will, speaking hope and life, breaking chains of despair, and declaring freedom in the name of Jesus. May we carry Your Word with courage across our neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities, that others too may know the breath of life that is found in You alone.

I also pray for those who feel as though they are in their own valleys of dry bones. May the truth of Your resurrection power reach them where they are. Lord, guide us to be the messengers of hope and the bearers of Your love. Let our words echo the prophetic declarations of restoration. We are nothing without You, yet in You, we become an exceeding great army.

In faith, I trust that Your plans are to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). May we move forward, Lord, equipped with the power of Your breath, ready to fulfill the calling placed on our lives. May we stand in unity, reflecting Your glory and declaring Your majesty until You return. Thank You, Father, for the promise of resurrection and for breathing life into our weary bones.

In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray, Amen.
