Showers of Blessing in His Season

"And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing." - Ezekiel 34:26

"And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing." - Ezekiel 34:{verse.verse_number}

Most Holy and Faithful Father,

I come before Thee in reverence and hope, resting my heart upon Thy sure promise. Thy Word declares, “And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.” Lord, I believe that Thou art able to do what Thou hast spoken, and I ask Thee to make this promise living and active in my life, in my home, in my church, and in every place Thou hast appointed me to stand.

O God, make me and make Thy people a blessing. Not merely receivers of good, but vessels of good—carriers of Thy peace, Thy truth, and Thy love. Shape my words, my attitudes, and my actions, that those who are “round about” me may be refreshed by Thy grace. Where there has been strife, let me be an instrument of reconciliation. Where there has been weariness, let me bring encouragement. Where there has been need, let me respond with mercy. Teach me to walk humbly, to serve quietly, and to honor Thee openly, that Thou mightest be seen as the source of all true blessing.

Lord, I ask Thee to bless “the places round about” Thy hill—every sphere of my life: my work, my relationships, my community, and my daily responsibilities. Sanctify ordinary spaces with Thy presence. Let the atmosphere around me change because Thou art near. Let my home become a place of prayer, purity, and peace. Let my workplace become a place where integrity prevails and righteousness is not mocked. Let my friendships be strengthened with honesty and kindness. Let my church be stirred with unity and holy devotion.

Father, I confess that at times I have sought blessing without seeking Thee, and I have longed for rain while neglecting the soil of obedience. Forgive me for impatience in seasons of waiting. Forgive me for complaining in dry places and for doubting Thy timing. Restore to me a steady heart—one that trusts “his season,” for Thou hast said, “I will cause the shower to come down in his season.” Teach me to discern Thy seasons: the season for repentance, the season for sowing, the season for learning, the season for endurance, the season for quietness, and the season for rejoicing. Keep me from running ahead of Thy will, and keep me from falling behind Thy calling.

Lord, send the showers that only Thou canst send. Send showers upon my spirit—renew my first love, refresh my joy, and revive my prayer. Send showers upon my mind—wash away confusion, fear, and unbelief, and replace them with clarity, courage, and faith. Send showers upon my heart—heal hidden wounds, soften hardness, and cleanse bitterness. Send showers upon my family—restore what is broken, strengthen what is weak, and protect what is precious. Send showers upon those I love who are far from Thee—draw them, awaken them, and grant them repentance and life.

Let there be “showers of blessing” over the work of my hands. If I have planted in tears, let me reap in gladness according to Thy wisdom. If I have been faithful in small things, establish me in greater faithfulness without pride. Guard me from misusing increase, and teach me to steward every gift with thanksgiving. Make me generous, content, and free from the love of this world.

Father, I also pray for the land and community around me. Where there is violence, speak peace. Where there is injustice, raise up righteousness. Where there is poverty, provide daily bread and open doors of honest opportunity. Where there is spiritual darkness, let the light of Thy Word shine. Make “the places round about” a blessing—schools, streets, hospitals, and homes—until many can testify that Thou hast visited with mercy and power.

And when the showers come, Lord, keep me mindful that they come from Thy hand. Let gratitude rise like incense, and let praise be my continual offering. Keep me watchful, so that I do not waste the season of rain. Let me receive Thy blessing with humility and respond with obedience, that the fruit may remain.

I stand upon Thy Word, for Thou hast spoken: “And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.” Fulfil Thy promise in me, through me, and around me, for Thy glory.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
