Heavenly Father,

As we come before You in humble submission, we reflect on the profound truths found in the book of Ezekiel, particularly chapter 29, verse 15. In Your Holy Word, You have declared, "It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations." Lord, we are reminded through this verse of the ultimate authority You possess over the kingdoms of the earth, and we recognize our need to align ourselves with Your divine will.

O Lord, in a world steeped in pride and self-exaltation, we often find ourselves striving for power, influence, and recognition. Forgive us, Father, for the times we have sought to elevate ourselves above others, forgetting that every good gift comes from You, and that true strength lies in humility. Help us to understand that our identity is not found in earthly positions or fleeting accolades, but in our relationship with You.

We acknowledge that You have the power to diminish those who elevate themselves—those who place their trust in their own might rather than in Your sovereignty. We see the consequences of such arrogance in our world today. Nations rise and fall according to Your hand, and leaders who once boasted of their authority become humbled by Your providence. As You diminish those who do not recognize Your reign, may we learn a lesson in humility ourselves.

Lord, as we pray for our leaders, guide them with Your wisdom. May they never become so proud that they forget their purpose—steering their people toward justice, peace, and righteousness. Keep their hearts soft and teachable, that they may not forget their duty is to serve and not to dominate.

In our personal lives, help us reflect Your humility. May we cultivate hearts that choose service over status, generosity over greed, and love over judgment. Just as You have pronounced, "It shall be the basest of the kingdoms..." help us recognize that those who exalt themselves in pride will ultimately find themselves diminished in Your sight.

Father, we commit unto You the nations that seek to exalt themselves above others. We pray for the leaders who have forgotten that they are but stewards of the authority given to them by You. Bring about a divine recalibration in their hearts. We request a movement of the Holy Spirit, one that penetrates the darkest corridors of power and brings about a sense of accountability and humility. Let the proud be made low, for only then can there be true peace and equity amongst all nations.

We seek Your wisdom in times of strife, not just for ourselves, but for those who are oppressed, marginalized, and denied their voice. Comfort them, Lord, and assure them that nothing escapes Your attention. Let them understand that earthly supremacy does not equate to superiority in Your Kingdom.

God, we pray for the Church—the body of believers called to exemplify Christ's humility. Enable us to model the servant-heartedness of our Savior, who came not to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. May we strive to bring Your light into the world by living out humility in our everyday interactions.

As we conclude this prayer, we ask that You diminish our pride and our ambition when it becomes a barrier to love and service. Teach us to cling to Your Word and to reflect on the fact that no kingdom can withstand the might of Your hand. In all things, may we glorify You, lowering ourselves, that You may be exalted in our lives and in the lives of those around us.
