Heavenly Father,

As we come before You today, we humbly bow our hearts and minds, recognizing Your majesty, power, and unfailing love. Your word, spoken through the prophet Ezekiel, reminds us of Your faithfulness in times of trial and tribulation. “Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered.” (Ezekiel 29:13, KJV) This verse resonates deeply within us, and we take this moment to reflect on what it means to be gathered, restored, and united under Your divine plan.

Lord, You are the God who gathers. You have a heart for Your people and a desire for unity among all nations. As we contemplate the scattering of the Egyptians, we acknowledge the broader implications of separation— whether they are physical, emotional, or spiritual. We recognize that in our lives, we too have experienced times of being scattered, lost in our own circumstances, disconnected from friends, family, and even from You.

Father, we ask for Your merciful hand to be upon us and upon all those who are in exile or feeling distant from their true home. Just as You promised to gather the Egyptians after forty years, we are reminded that there is a season for everything under heaven. Help us to trust in Your perfect timing, knowing that the trials of today are shaping us for the glory of tomorrow. Teach us patience as we wait for our gathering, just as the Egyptians awaited their return.

Oh Lord, we pray for those who feel separated from You. May they experience Your presence and be drawn back into communion with Your Spirit. Pour out Your grace upon those who have wandered; may they be encouraged by Your word that they are not forgotten, and that You are actively working for their restoration. Your promise to gather provides hope—the hope that no matter how far we stray, Your arms are always wide open to welcome us back.

We also lift up the nations, much like Egypt, that may be undergoing trials and hardships. The world is filled with divisions, strife, and enmity. In this season of chaos, let us look to You as the God who restores and unifies. Lord, we ask that You gather the nations to You, that people would turn their hearts towards You, creating a community that seeks Your righteousness and peace. Let Your presence bring healing to the broken, comfort to the afflicted, and restoration to the lost.

Lord, as we pray for our global community, we also turn to our local communities. We ask for Your guidance as we navigate the relationships in our lives. Help us to be agents of gathering, reflecting Your love and kindness. Let us work towards reconciliation, understanding, and healing among our families, friends, and neighbors. May we shine the light of Christ in the darkness, showing the way back to You for those who have lost their way.

As we meditate on the significance of the forty years mentioned in Ezekiel, we recognize the importance of perseverance and growth. Give us the strength to endure our personal deserts. Help us to understand that our trials are not in vain; rather, they prepare us for a greater purpose. Just as the Israelites learned in the wilderness, may we also find lessons in our waiting periods—the patience to trust, the humility to seek assistance, and the faith to look forward to the promise of gathering.

In closing, Lord, we give thanks for Your word that serves as our guide. We hold on to Your promise of gathering and restoration, declaring that we trust in Your divine timing. May we always remember that You have plans for us, plans to prosper us, and not to harm us.
