O Lord, our God, we come before You with humble hearts, recognizing the weight of truth found in Your Word. We are reminded, as stated in Ezekiel 18:26 (KJV), "When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die." This profound verse stirs a deep sense of responsibility within us, revealing the precarious nature of righteousness and the serious consequences of turning away from Your ways.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that righteousness is a gift from You, a reflection of Your holiness and justice. It is by Your grace that we can walk in paths that are pleasing to You. However, we also confess that our hearts can sometimes wander, that we can be lured away by the temptations of the world, the desires of the flesh, and the deceitfulness of sin. We know, and we fear, the reality that a righteous man can stumble and fall, losing sight of the very foundation upon which he stands.

Lord, I pray for You to instill in us a deep reverence for righteousness, that we may never take our walk with You lightly. Help us to remember the paths we have chosen and the commitments we have made in our hearts to live according to Your righteousness. Stir within us a holy fear of the consequences of forsaking Your ways. May we understand that turning away from righteousness not only leads to our ruin but also breaks Your heart.

We come to You, O God, seeking Your mercy and grace. For every time we have faltered, every choice made in rebellion, every moment we have turned our backs on the light of Your truth, we repent. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Restore unto us the joy of our salvation and uphold us with Your free Spirit (Psalm 51:10-12).

Help us, O Lord, to remain vigilant, to guard our hearts against the influences that seek to draw us away from You. Surround us with Your love and protection, so that we can rejoice in the fullness of life that is only found in You. Teach us to meditate on Your Word day and night and to hide it within our hearts, that we might not sin against You (Psalm 119:11).

Father, we lift up those among us who have turned away from the goodness of Your ways. We pray for the lost, for the ones who, like the prodigal son, have wandered into despair. Reach into their darkness, Lord, and remind them of Your unwavering love and grace. Let them hear Your call to return, to embrace the forgiveness that You so freely offer. Grant them the courage to turn around and seek Your face once again.

Let not our hearts grow hardened or our spirits become complacent. We ask for a divine awakening, for a revival of righteousness within ourselves and our communities. Help us to encourage one another, holding each other accountable in love, so that we may collectively avoid the pitfall of iniquity that leads to death. May our lives be an example, shining brightly in a world overwhelmed by darkness.

Lord, we also pray that You would shed light on our path in moments of uncertainty. When we are faced with decisions that challenge our integrity, grant us wisdom to choose righteousness over iniquity. Surround us with wise counsel, and may we rely on the guiding of Your Holy Spirit.

Great God, we are grateful for Your grace that allows us to pursue righteousness despite our failures. We thank You for the opportunity to confess and receive forgiveness. Let us not take lightly the gift of salvation, but rather seek to honor it with our lives.
