A Prayer for Divine Enablement and Courage
"And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?" - Exodus 6:30

Heavenly Father,
In the presence of Your holiness, we come before You, acknowledging Your sovereignty and might. We are reminded of the profound humility exhibited by Moses when he uttered the words, "Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?" (Exodus 6:30, KJV). As we address You today, we recognize the weight of this confession and the truth that it conveys about our human frailties and limitations.
Lord God, we stand here in awe of Your power and perfection. You are the Creator of the universe, the One who spoke the world into existence, and yet You desire a relationship with us. You used Moses—a stutterer, a man hindered by self-doubt—to lead Your people out of slavery. Just as You transformed Moses' hesitations into instruments of Your will, we seek Your empowerment in our own lives.
Father, like Moses, we often feel inadequate in the face of the mighty tasks that lie before us. In moments of challenge, insecurity can swallow our courage, causing us to question the sufficiency of our abilities. We repent for the times we have allowed fear to overshadow faith, forgetting that our qualifications come not from ourselves but from You. It is in our weakness that Your strength is made perfect. 2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds us that Your grace is sufficient for us, and Your strength is made perfect in weakness. May we fully accept this truth as we face our own Pharaohs—the giants in our lives who seem insurmountable.
Empower us, O Lord, as we proclaim Your truths. Infuse us with the confidence to speak boldly of Your promises. Help us to remember that it is You who equips us, even when we feel like we are of "uncircumcised lips." Shower us with Your wisdom and clarity of thought that we may convey Your message fearlessly. Just as You guided Moses, guide us each day through the challenges and uncertainties. Illuminate our paths, Lord, so that we may dare to declare Your will, knowing that You will follow through with Your mighty acts of deliverance.
We ask You, O great Jehovah, to remove every barrier that hinders our voices, just as You broke the chains that bound the Israelites. Let Your will be established in our lives, overcoming every doubt that seeks to confine us. We long for a heart attuned to Your calling, and a spirit emboldened by Your presence. Help us to remember the assurance in Isaiah 41:10 that we need not fear because You are with us, and do not be dismayed for You are our God.
Lord, grant us the patience to wait on You and the perseverance to press forward even when we feel weak. Let our faith soar like the eagle, trusting in Your plan and timing. When we feel unworthy, let us cling to the truth that You are always the Great I AM, the One who can convert our ordinary circumstances into extraordinary testimonies.
As we stand firm in the light of Your promises, we pray that every word we speak would be infused with Your truth. May our lips, once thought uncircumcised, become bold instruments for Your service. Enable us to sound the trumpet of Your glory, and may it resonate in every heart that hears.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We take refuge in Your everlasting love and grace, and we declare in faith that we shall be effective messengers of Your Word, empowered to influence change amidst those we encounter. Help us always remember that Your power is made perfect in our weaknesses, and it is through our dependency on You that we will overcome.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray,
Amen.
