A Prayer of Deliverance and Comfort Amid Tribulation
"¶ And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;" - Exodus 3:7

O Lord God Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, the One who sees and hears our deepest sorrows, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude as I reflect on Your promises as revealed in Exodus 3:7, where You declared, "And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows."
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your everlasting presence in our lives. You have promised that You see us even when we feel invisible in our struggles; You hear us, even when our cries are too deep for words. Just as You recognized the plight of the Israelites in Egypt, I trust that You are aware of our afflictions today—personal and collective. Lord, I lift up to You those who are currently suffering, those weighed down by burdens too heavy to bear alone.
Lord, we are often surrounded by taskmasters, those who oppress and bring pain into our lives, whether they be in physical, emotional, or spiritual forms. In times of distress, it can feel overwhelming, and hope can seem elusive. But I proclaim that Your compassion shines bright, penetrating the darkness of despair. You know each person’s sorrow, and I ask that You bring forth Your healing grace to those in need.
I pray specifically for the afflicted and downtrodden, for those trapped in despair and bondage. Let them feel Your comfort and presence; reassure them that You are aware of their struggles and sorrows. May they find solace in knowing that their cries do not go unheard. Encourage them with reminders of Your faithfulness, that even in the darkest valleys, You are right beside them.
Lord, I also pray for strength and courage to face these challenges. Just as You empowered Moses to lead the Israelites out of bondage, empower us to rise from our situations. In moments when we feel helpless or when we question our own strength, remind us that with You, all things are possible. Fortify us with the confidence that comes from knowing You are a God of deliverance.
Father, grant us a spirit of perseverance. Teach us to cry out unto You in our times of need. Instill in us a prayerful heart, one that seeks You first in all situations, believing that You hear us and are already at work on our behalf.
Moreover, help us to extend compassion to others who are suffering. Let our hearts soften towards the struggles of those around us. May we be channels of Your love and kindness, reflecting Your goodness to those walking through their own Egypt. Help us to stand in the gap for them—to pray not only for our deliverance but also for theirs. As we seek to embody Your light, may our care and support become a beacon of hope offering relief and comfort during their times of sorrow.
Lord, in our praise, let us remember to share the testimonies of Your deliverance. When You bring us through, let our voices rise up, declaring Your goodness. May our stories of healing and breakthrough be a source of encouragement for others still in their affliction, reminding them of Your unfailing love and Your attentive ear.
As we walk through the uncertainties of life, remind us that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who knows our sorrows. I lay down our burdens before You, trusting in Your perfect timing and divine intervention. Thank You, Father, for the assurance that You are always with us.
In Jesus' name, I pray,
Amen.
