O Sovereign Lord, in reverence and awe, I come before You, reflecting on the profound truth and wisdom captured in Your Word. In Exodus 24:2, You declare, "And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him." My heart is stirred by the gravity of this proclamation, for it reveals both the holiness of Your Presence and the sacred separation that exists between the divine and mortal realms.

Lord, as I meditate upon this verse, I recognize the significance of Moses as he ascends the mountain to meet with You. How extraordinary it is that You called him alone into Your presence, granting him the privilege of communion that was not afforded to the rest of the people. I thank You for this reminder of Your chosen servants and the unique revelations You bestow upon those who earnestly seek Your face.

May I, too, find moments where I can ‘come near’ to You, seeking the depths of Your wisdom, understanding, and guidance without the chaos of the world around me. I long to hear Your voice, to feel the warmth of Your presence wrapping around me like a soft embrace.

As I ponder the assembly of the people waiting below the mountain, I am reminded of the necessity of boundaries in our walk with You.
