A Prayer for Divine Favor and Preparation
"¶ Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her." - Esther 2:15

Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with grateful hearts, acknowledging Your sovereignty and Your divine purpose in our lives. As we reflect upon the life of Esther, as recorded in Esther 2:15, we are reminded of the incredible journey You guided her through:
"Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her."
O Lord, we see in Esther's story not only the beauty of Your providence but also the importance of trusting in You as we step into the unknown and embrace our calling. We thank You for calling each of us by name, just as You called Esther. We are grateful that You hold our future in Your hands, and we trust that You will lead us with clarity and purpose.
As Esther prepared to meet the king, she sought guidance and wisdom from Hegai, and she required nothing more than what he appointed. Likewise, we pray for the humility to seek wise counsel in our endeavors. Teach us to be patient and discerning, relying on the insight of those You have placed in our lives to guide us. Help us to understand that true wisdom comes from You, Lord, and may we listen and submit to the knowledge and experience of those whom You have anointed to guide us.
Father, we come before You today, asking for a spirit of submission and readiness in our hearts. Just as Esther prepared herself through obedience and trust, let us also prepare our hearts to receive Your guidance. May we approach every opportunity with the wisdom to make choices that align with Your will.
Lord, as we step out in faith, we ask for Favor in our lives. Just as Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who looked upon her, we desire that same favor from those we encounter—our family, friends, co-workers, and even strangers. Grant us a compelling presence that reflects Your love and grace, so that we may draw others to You and be instruments of Your peace in this world.
We also pray, dear Lord, for courage and strength as we encounter the challenges that life may bring. Esther faced fear and uncertainty as she approached the king, yet she stood firm in her purpose. Help us, God, to stand in faith when faced with adversity or fear of the unknown. Remind us that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
In Your presence, we find comfort and strength. We ask that You fill our hearts with the assurance of Your love and purpose. As we continue down our paths, may we be reminded that we are not alone. You are with us, preparing us for each step we take, just as You prepared Esther for her divine moment.
In all that we do, may we honor You and seek Your kingdom first, knowing that everything else will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). We trust in Your divine timing, knowing that like Esther, we too can be in the right place at the right time under Your orchestration.
Thank you, Lord, for the lessons we learn from Esther’s life. Let her story inspire us to act with grace, integrity, and wisdom.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus,
Amen.
