Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude. We honor and praise Your holy name, for You are the source of all wisdom, strength, and guidance. Lord, Your Word reminds us: "Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God" (Colossians 3:22 KJV). We ask for Your help in this area of our lives. Teach us to embrace our roles, whether as employees, volunteers, or in any form of service, with sincerity and dedication. Help us not to exert our energy merely to please those around us or to gain earthly rewards. Instead, let our motivations be rooted deeply in our reverence for You. May we serve not out of obligation, but with joyful hearts that seek to honor You in every task entrusted to us.

Father, instill in us a desire to do everything "heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men" (Colossians 3:23 KJV). In moments of weariness, confusion, or frustration, remind us to elevate our focus. As we serve diligently, we cling to the promise contained in Your Word: "Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ" (Colossians 3:24 KJV). May this truth fill us with hope and courage, reminding us that our labor is not in vain. You see our struggles and our perseverance, and You are a just rewarder of those who diligently seek You. Help us to remain faithful even when the rewards may not come swiftly, or when our efforts seem unnoticed. We trust that You will provide for our needs and that one day we will receive the full inheritance which You have prepared for those who love and serve You.

We also reflect on the sobering note of caution that follows in this passage: "But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons" (Colossians 3:25 KJV). Keep us on the straight path, Lord. Guard our hearts against dishonesty, deceit, and complacency in our service. Help us to remember that our actions have consequences, and let us strive to live righteously in Your sight, understanding that everyone is held accountable to You equally.
