Heavenly Father,

As we gather in Your presence, we come before You with heavy hearts, reflecting upon the profound truth of Your Word. In Acts 7:19, Your holy scripture recounts the oppression faced by our forefathers, saying, "The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live." Lord, we approach You with a deep understanding of the struggles and challenges that Your people have faced from generation to generation.

O God, we recognize that there are powers at work in our world that seek to divide and destroy. Just as our ancestors endured hardship and tribulation, we too find ourselves confronted by systems that operate with cunning and deceit. The actions of those who "dealt subtilly" reflect an ancient tactic that still pervades society today. We pray for awareness and discernment, that we may see the schemes of the enemy and not fall prey to fear or confusion.

We stand before You in solidarity with those who suffer under oppressive regimes, those who endure injustice, and those whose lives are adversely affected by the malice of others. May Your spirit of compassion envelop them. We lift up our voices in intercession for the voiceless and marginalized, for the innocent children who, like the young ones cast out in Egypt, are victims of systems designed to harm rather than to heal. Renew our resolve, Lord, to advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves.

Lord, You see the pain of the parents forced to witness their children suffer at the hands of evil. Every act of cruelty resounds within Your heart, and every tear shed is counted by You. We pray for those parents—you understand their anguish as they grapple with feelings of helplessness and despair. Grant them peace in the midst of turmoil; imbue them with hope that is not anchored in their circumstances but in Your unchanging nature.

Almighty God, we call upon You to intervene in our world today. Raise up leaders and warriors who will fight for justice, peace, and righteousness. We pray that those in positions of power will begin to recognize their responsibilities to protect the vulnerable rather than exploit them. Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream. We beseech You to turn the hearts of the oppressors, that they may act with compassion and integrity.

As we reflect on this solemn scripture, we also remember the hope that arises from adversity. Just as You were with our ancestors in their tribulations—providing for them, guiding them, and ultimately leading them to freedom—so too do we trust in Your promise to be with us. Fill us with unwavering faith and the assurance that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). You are the God who delivers, the God who saves, and the God who revives.

Lord, we resolve to be Your hands and feet in this world. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, embolden us to advocate for the oppressed, and teach us to love our neighbors as ourselves. Let us not grow weary in well-doing, knowing that in due season we shall reap if we faint not (Galatians 6:9).

Father, we entrust our children into Your loving care. Shield them from harm and evil, and instill in them a spirit of resilience and strength. We pray that they may grow in wisdom and stature, and that Your purposes for their lives may be realized, shielded from the treacheries of this world.

As we conclude this prayer, we hold fast to the promise that You are at work even in the most challenging of circumstances. Help us to remain vigilant and faithful, standing firm in the knowledge that in Christ, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus.
