A Prayer for Healing and Deliverance
"There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one." - Acts 5:16

O Gracious and Holy Father,
We come before Your presence today with hearts humbled and spirits vigorous, echoing the words of Acts 5:16, which declare, "There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one." Lord, how magnificent it is to reflect on the reality of Your healing power that is available to all who seek it! We stand in awe of the testimony of Your mercy and grace, recognizing that you are the Divine Healer, the Great Physician, who cares deeply for the suffering and the afflicted.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that this world is rife with pain, sickness, and tormenting spirits. We see the multitudes—our family members, friends, neighbors, and even strangers—who are weighed down by illness, emotional scars, and spiritual oppression. We ask that You bless them today with Your relentless love, lifting their burdens and granting them peace that surpasses understanding, as they come to You in faith.
Lord Jesus, during Your earthly ministry, you extended healing to the broken-hearted and miraculous deliverance to the tormented. We beseech you to send Your healing touch upon those who suffer injuries of body, emotional wounds, and spirits afflicted by darkness. Just as the crowds once came to Jerusalem with their sick and possessed, may we bring before You every name and every condition, knowing that no issue is beyond Your reach.
In this moment, I lift to You those in my life and beyond who are suffering. I think of [insert specific names or situations], and I ask that You grant them complete healing. Lord, flood their bodies with health, their minds with clarity, and their souls with peace. May Your light penetrate their darkness and banish their fears. Just as the power emanated from the apostles, may they encounter Your love and restoration through our earnest prayers.
Holy Spirit, we invite Your presence into every hospital room, every hospice, and every home where sickness dwells. We claim the promise found in Your Word that "they were healed every one." We trust in Your divine authority and unchanging nature. Your Word assures us that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever, which gives us confidence that those who call upon Your name will indeed find healing.
As we gather in unity, may our hearts be knit together with compassion for those who are suffering. Teach us, Lord, to be instruments of Your healing grace, reaching out to the broken, comforting the weary, and encouraging the faint-hearted. Show us how to support those in need, not only through our prayers but also through our actions. Let our faith move us to advocate for the sick, minister to the broken, and uplift those who feel burdensome.
Moreover, we seek deliverance from any unclean spirits that may afflict our households or communities. Lord, we renounce every dark influence that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy. We claim victory in Jesus' name, knowing that Your blood covers us and Your authority rules over all. Cast out every fear, confusion, and doubt that may hinder our faith and empower us to stand firm in Your promises.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the love You have for us. We are grateful for the testimonies of healing that will arise as a result of this petition. May we be faithful witnesses of Your goodness to all those around us. We pray that many will turn their hearts to You, recognizing You as their healer and redeemer.
In the matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
