A Prayer for the Growth of God’s Word
"¶ But the word of God grew and multiplied." - Acts 12:24

Heavenly Father,
As I come before You in this moment of prayer, my heart is filled with gratitude for the profound truth encapsulated in Acts 12:24, which proclaims, "But the word of God grew and multiplied." I thank You, Lord, for the living Word and for the incredible gift of Scripture that guides us in our walk of faith. Your Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105), illuminating our lives with wisdom and light.
Lord, I acknowledge that it is Your Word which has the power to transform lives, heal the brokenhearted, and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). I pray fervently for the growth and multiplication of Your Word in every corner of the earth, in our schools, homes, workplaces, and communities. As Your Word grows, may it penetrate hearts of stone and replace them with hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). Let it seep into the very fabric of our society, igniting a revolution of faith that draws all to You.
Father, I ask that You raise up faithful servants of the Gospel, those who will carry forth Your Word with boldness and integrity. Just as You sent apostles filled with the Holy Spirit to proclaim Your message, I pray You will equip us with a spirit of courage and love (2 Timothy 1:7), so that we may boldly proclaim the truth of Your Kingdom. Lord, embolden us to step outside our comfort zones, to engage with those who are lost and in need of the hope that only You can offer.
I pray for the hearts of the lost and those who have yet to encounter Your great love. May they be softened to receive Your Word. Break down barriers of doubt and disbelief, Lord, and open their eyes to see the beauty of Your love and the richness of Your grace. Let Your Word take root in their hearts, growing into a vibrant faith that bears fruit for Your Kingdom.
God, I lift up our churches, our pastors, and leaders across the globe. May they be empowered by the Holy Spirit to preach Your Word with clarity and passion. Help them to teach Your doctrines faithfully and to shepherd their congregations with compassion and wisdom. May each sermon preached and each lesson taught contribute to the growth and multiplication of Your Word, leading many souls into the embrace of Christ.
Lord, I also pray for the various missions and ministries dedicated to spreading Your Word far and wide. Continue to bless their efforts, providing them with the resources they need to reach every tribe, nation, and tongue. May the Scriptures be translated and accessible in every language, ensuring that no one is left without the revelation of Your truth.
As Your Word grows and multiplies, I pray it sets forth a wave of revival that sweeps through our land. Let it awaken the slumbering hearts, renew the weary, and inspire the disheartened. May Your truth be proclaimed in all areas of society—arts, politics, education, and more. Help us, Lord, to be Your hands and feet, living examples of Your love, and ambassadors of Your Kingdom.
Heavenly Father, let the testimony of the growing Word inspire hope and faith in all who encounter it. May we, too, be vessels through which Your Word can grow and multiply in our lives. Teach us to meditate on Your Word day and night (Psalm 1:2), to allow it to shape our thoughts and actions, so that we can bear witness to others of Your goodness and grace.
In the mighty name of Jesus, who is the Word made flesh, I pray,
Amen.
