Heavenly Father,

As I come before You today, I embrace Your Word with a humble heart, acknowledging the profound wisdom embedded within the scriptures. In 3 John 1:11, we are called to walk not in the footsteps of evil, but to pursue that which is good. "Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.” Oh Lord, I bow in reverence, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and I seek Your guidance to help me navigate through the moral complexities of this world.

Grant me the discernment to recognize the true nature of my actions. Help me to understand that every decision made in the light of Your goodness leads me closer to You. Let Your Word act as a lamp to my feet, guiding my every step towards righteousness. In a world that often blurs the lines between good and evil, I plead for clarity and insight. Allow my heart to be attuned to Your voice so that I may always choose to do good, reflecting Your character in a world that desperately needs Your light.

Father, instill in me a desire that surpasses the fleeting pleasures of this world’s evils. Help me to remember that all actions have consequence, and that true fulfillment is found not in following the crowd, but in standing firm for what is right. When I am faced with temptations or trials that may lead me astray, remind me of the truth found in Your Word. Let me not be swayed by the seductive whispers of a world enamored with sin, but anchor my soul in Your eternal truth.

In moments of doubt and confusion, may I be surrounded by Your peace which surpasses all understanding. Teach me to seek the company of those who strive for goodness, encouraging and uplifting one another in faith. Let me be a beacon of Your light, inspiring those around me to pursue righteousness. Open my eyes to see opportunities where I can do good in the lives of others. Shift my focus from self to service, that I may not only witness Your goodness, but actively participate in its manifestation.

Lord, I acknowledge the times I have fallen short. In my pursuit of good, I may have chosen the easier path, which led me away from You. When I stray from Your ways, remind me that it is never too late to turn back to You with a heartfelt repentance. Cleanse me of my sins and renew in me a right spirit. Help me to remember that true goodness originates from being in Your presence and aligns with Your will. As I strive to do good, let it be a testament of my relationship with You, and let my actions reflect a heart that has truly seen You, the embodiment of goodness.

I pray for those around me, that they too may be inspired to follow the path of righteousness. May my actions serve as an encouragement for others to turn away from evil and seek the true goodness that can only be found in You. May we become a community that embodies Your virtues—love, kindness, patience, and humility, working hand in hand to uplift each other in our journeys of faith.

Finally, I beseech You, dear Lord, to keep my heart tender, my mind discerning, and my spirit willing to follow You wherever You may lead. Strengthen my resolve in doing good, that I may reflect Your glory in this world. Thank You for Your endless grace, for allowing me to witness Your goodness through my life. All glory and honor belong to You, my God.
