A Prayer for Deliverance and Preservation

"And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." - 2 Timothy 4:18

"And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." - 2 Timothy 4:{verse.verse_number}

O Gracious and Eternal Lord,

As I bow my head before You today, I am reminded of the profound promise found in Your Word, particularly in 2 Timothy 4:18, where it is written: "And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." Lord, I come before You with a heart filled with gratitude for Your unchanging truth and the assurance that You are my Deliverer and Preserver.

Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that the world around us is fraught with temptation, trials, and tribulations. In this life, we face an array of evil forces that seek to ensnare us and distract us from Your path. I pray for Your mighty hand to be upon me as I confront these challenges. Help me to recognize the works of evil that lurk in the shadows, waiting to lead me astray from Your holy ways. Your Word assures me of Your deliverance; therefore, I take refuge in Your promise, confident that You shall deliver me from every evil work that seeks to undermine my faith and challenge my standing in You.

Lord, I humbly implore You to strengthen me in times of trial and to uphold me with Your righteous right hand. When the enemy comes like a flood, I trust that Your Spirit will lift up a standard against him. Surround me with Your protection, dear Lord. Allow me to feel the presence of Your angels guarding my every step. Whether the battle I face is physical, spiritual, or emotional, I know that Your power is made perfect in my weakness. I place my trust in You, for You are my stronghold, my rock, and my fortress, in whom I take refuge.

As I navigate through this life, help me to be vigilant and aware of the dangers that arise from within and without. May my heart remain steadfast, anchored in Your promises. I pray that Your wisdom may guide my decisions, so I may shun the appearance of evil and cultivate a life that brings glory to Your name. Strengthen my discernment, Lord, that I may spot the temptations the enemy presents and turn away from them, seeking instead the path that leads to everlasting life.

Moreover, I give thanks for Your promise of preservation. You have promised to keep me unto Your heavenly kingdom, and I stand in awe of such grace and mercy. I often find myself weary in this journey, but I am continually revived by the assurance that You preserve me through every hardship. Remind me, Lord, that this world is not my home and that my hope lies in the life eternal You have prepared for me.

Help me to live each day with eternity in view, striving to reflect Your love and light in all I do. Let my actions speak volumes of Your grace, and may my words encourage those around me to seek Your kingdom above all else. As I face the challenges of this world, remind me to fix my eyes upon Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith, who also endured the cross for the joy set before Him.

Lastly, I give You all the glory, honor, and praise that You so richly deserve. To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. May my life be a testament to Your faithfulness, and may I continuously proclaim Your name, trusting in Your deliverance and preservation.

In Jesus' name, I pray,

Amen.
