Heavenly Father,

In the quiet of this moment, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and reverence. I reflect on the profound words found in 2 Samuel 19:38, where King David extended grace and kindness, saying, "And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto thee: and whatsoever thou shalt require of me, that will I do for thee." Lord, as I meditate on this scripture, I recognize the beauty of service and the noble heart of the king who willingly offered to meet the needs of another.

O Lord, just as David showed unwavering support to Chimham, I ask for the grace to emulate such a spirit of kindness in my own life. Help me to open my eyes and my heart to the needs of those around me. May I not be blinded by my own affairs but instead, let the love of Christ compel me to serve others sincerely. Let my hands and my feet reflect Your heart as I seek to do good in my community and amongst my loved ones. Teach me, Father, to act not out of obligation but out of genuine love and compassion towards others.

Father, I am reminded that true leadership is rooted in servanthood. King David, despite his authority and kingship, chose to uplift and support those who had been loyal to him. Help me remember that no act of service is too small or insignificant. Give me the wisdom to discern how I can uplift those in need. Enable me to say as David did, "whatever thou shalt require of me, that will I do for thee" – let my willingness be boundless.

Lord, I pray for those who have shown me kindness. May I never take for granted the little and big things that people do for me and for others. Let me recognize the Chimhams in my life—those who have offered their support selflessly. May I return such favors and kindness to them, ensuring that Your love circulates through my actions, building a community of compassion and love.

God of the universe, let me also be open to receiving help when I need it, just as Chimham may have accepted the kindness of David. In a world that often glorifies self-sufficiency, teach me humility. It is okay to need others. Help me build relationships that reflect mutual love, care, and support. Just as David was willing to fulfill any request that Chimham may have made, may I do the same for those who seek refuge and support from me.
