We remember that beyond the sovereignty of rulers lies Your supreme authority, Lord. You placed Josiah in power because you had a specific purpose for him, just as You have for each of us. Help us to recognize our individual purpose in this world and to take up our roles with diligence and dedication.
Finally, as we reflect on Josiah's reign and the importance of his legacy, we ask for the grace to remember those who have gone before us — those whose lives demonstrated faithfulness to You.
