Heavenly Father,

We desire to be rooted firmly in the truth found in Scripture, allowing it to guide our thoughts, words, and deeds.
Renew our commitment to worship You alone. Banish the tendency within us to create substitutes that lead us astray. Help us to focus our devotion on You and You alone. May we never forget that You are a jealous God, longing for our full attention and affection. Freely give us the insight to see how easy it is to slip into idolatry, and grant us the strength to resist every temptation to do so.
Lord, as we live our lives, may the people around us see the light of Christ reflected in our actions. Let our lives be a testament to the devotion we hold for You, drawing others to the truth of Your gospel. Let us not craft man-made traditions or substitute rituals for the genuine relationship You desire with us.
Finally, we pray for the nations of the world, where idolatry still reigns. So many have turned their hearts to gods that cannot save, much like the men of Babylon and the others mentioned. May we be vessels of Your love, grace, and truth, speaking boldly against the darkness of idolatry and pointing them toward the hope found in Jesus Christ.
We conclude this prayer with a desire for Your presence to fill our hearts and minds. May we always choose You over everything else and live lives of true worship that honor and glorify Your name. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
